It wasn't their holy duty to aid Russia, and it would shift the balance of power towards Russia.

>it's not humanity's duty to destroy the eternal cockroach

wha

The eternal anglo fears a strong regional power near it. Give God a country on mainland Europe and the Eternal Anglo will turn against it the second it threatens to become bigger than them.

muh balance of power

Because the prevailing notion was that the Ottomans were on the verge of collapse and all the major European powers hoping to get a piece for themselves. France, Russia, and Britain all were enjoying the prospect of taking away parts of the Ottoman empire for themselves, bit by bit. They were basically fighting over who would get the juiciest piece when the inevitable collapse occurred.

>TLDR: Britain wanted Constantinople for themselves, they didn't want to share it with Russia

Why would they have wanted even stronger Russia? They were in the middle of the Great Game at the time and the last thing they needed is to give a key strategic position to a potential enemy.

I think that they would be Ok with it after Antanta had been established. For example, if Russia had been involved in the Balkan wars, I don't think the UK would have been against Russian occupation of the Straits.

It's not. The Ottomans were a buffer towards the Russian expansion

Russia is more dangerous to the world than a piss weak sick man like the Ottoman Empire.

Well hindsight is 20/20 but letting Russia get ahead has shown to be a very costly mistake for everyone who makes it.

They feared the Russian warrior, I'm not joking, they built forts in fucking Australia because of a "possible Russian invasion"

British and French politicians and leaders wanted it so that their great-great-great-great grandsons would bow down and worship Muslim cock,

Geopolitical concerns are way more important that any edgy race notion

They should've imported Chechens/Dagestanis. They fucked up Russians in Grozny.

...

They knew WWI would be too easy if they let the Russians beat the T*rks.

Almost every european power allied with turks in one date or the other, Russians helped Ottomans when Egyptian revolt backed by brits pushed its way in to Asia Minor.

Stop having an us versus them idea, this romantic notions of "european" or "christian" brotherhood is a lie, nations acted and still act according to their interest, not according to romantic ideas about nationality, identity or religion.

>wanting the russian black sea fleet to have access to the mediterenean

thats how you get conquered
russia must be kept effectively landlocked, all her ports freezing, and all her fleets having to pass through a western controlled strait to access the world ocean (danish, japanese, turkish, etc)

It was part of the colonial great game. Britain wanted to limit Russian power as much as possible so they couldn't make a move on India, preventing a Russian border with India was one of the main Britain's foreign policy objectives until Wilhelm II made Germany their main threat.

For France, they had a longstanding alliance with the Turks in order to counter the Austrians.

This. The fact they offered it to Russia in WWI shows how dire the situation was becoming.

Russia was an absolute shitshow in the 90s, though.

this. Russia taking Afghan was serious shit in 1870 or whatever.

Ottomans were bro tier after they had their european foothold and got btfo by austria-hungary a few times. They were content, wealthy trade-partners. Russians would have been more unreliable

That's 100% false and you don't have a single source that says otherwise

They feared the russian warrior

And these people think they understand politics

>Almost every european power allied with turks in one date or the other

France, the UK... and that's it? Russia if you count them as european and the dutch if you count them as a power.

Austria-Hungary and Germany, too.

What about Geramny and AH? They were the Ottoman Empire's allies during the First World War.

Germany*

Okay, you guys got me. Apparently Spain and Portugal were the only ones with some ethic concerns and didn't ally with the Soviet Union of their time.

>Being a nation 101

I bet you think muslims are some united monolithic force that only cares about fighting christians too

It's just what they do and what they've always done. The anglo people feed on human(white) suffering.
