i have a lot more but i'm tired i'll stop here for now

You can't beat this i'm afraid.

This thread made me want to play M&B Warband: NW again.

Russian Life Guard Cavalry, cuirassier regiment.

And, Spanish cuirassiers.

I know it's a stock photo, but it's reenactors in uniforms of the Preobrazhensky Guard Regiment in a reenactment of the Battle of Borodino.

It really depends, and the Polish one is not a shako, its a polish hat, my personal favorite headgear though has to be the half mitre/bearskin cap like the Austrian Grenadiers.

I also like the bicorne hats worn by the French

>having taste this bad

at least post decent british army uniforms

If that's a good uniform i'm not seeing it.

sorry for shit quality but only version I have/could find

Canadian voltiguers (Québec)

Austrian=Italian=Spanish>French>Prussian=Russian>Brits

SONS OF THE HOUNDS, COME ERE AND GET FLESH

You may not like it but this is how peak of performance looks like

Gotta hand it to the French they had some cool uniforms.

Come on lads this is a good thread, lets post more uniforms

These are Grand Armee veterans dressed in their uniforms

These are also Holland Grenadiers

I hate the French Revolution, but man did they have some nice aesthetics

1. Poland (Duchy of Warsaw/Vistula Legion)
2. France
3. Austria
4. Russia
5. Britain
6. Spain

>Born just in time to fight in the Napoleonic wars
>live long enough to see the rise of the Second Empire
>Die before its fall

Best lifespan.

>Scots get kilts
>Irish get these gay little skirt things
Lmao how will spudniggers ever recover

The Irish uniforms look better imo

Prussian Landwehr had nice uniforms, too bad they were pretty shit-tier at fighting though

what do you expect from a militia unit?

Wouldn't all these fancy uniforms rack up a huge cost? It seems a waste when they're going to get muddy and shot up anyway.

>It seems a waste when they're going to get muddy and shot up anyway.

The details and the colors were used to distinguish units, friend from foe, hussars from dragoons or grenadiers from chasseurs, in battle it got very smoky from the musket fire and the generals needed a good way to distinguish their troops so they could know their position, flags do this as well but spotting a flag is difficult and it may have fallen.

Oh and, as for the expense, im sure non of those ornaments are made from anything expensive, cheap brass and leather probably, but im no expert, considering these were among the first truly national armies and the large scales of the battles im sure the equipment, barring the weapons was quite affordable. But again im not the best when it comes to this period, so take it with a grain of salt.

Can't find any decent information but it's doubtful it cost a lot. Only thing that immediately springs to mind is the french shifting some of their units back to white.

Pre-1808 French uniforms were pretty good
