After a few years this law was abolished. Regardless he wasn't oppressed by anybody. He could afford to financially support Karl Marx education and find a nice traditional wife to him.

Actually before the Napoleonic wars, Jews where even discriminated much more. Like before the war Jews where not allowed in the army and most jobs and universities where closed to them, especially in Prussia.

He didn't have to burn any of his books or anything. He simple donated his books to his brother and his brother assumed the role of rabbi.
