Was there a reason Germany hastily established Vichy rather then waiting until after the war to establish the puppet government

They were neutral and didnt oppose the allied invasion

Which is why saying that Vichy was defeated by the Allies in 1944 is dumb

They were neutral and fought anyone who attacked them (including Axis countries, pic related)

Well, they created other puppet governments instead of occupation in other places too, like the Slovak Republic, Croatian NDH or the Italian RSI after the armistice.

I didnt say they was defeated in 1944.

and yes, they did put up resistance in indochina, but was very much a "in cahoots" with the axis. Just look at the numbers of Syria-Lebanon Campaign and how they let germans and japanese use their bases, they even had some minor japanse naval support in the Madagascar campaign. Not to mention the Milice in the mainland.
