Would Germany have been a more civilised nation had it been united by Austria rather than the barbaric warmongers of Prussia?

Austrian Empire was Germany done right

Yes because Austria was and is Katholic

...

Austrians were just as warmonger-y, they were just hilariously bad at it. You should read up about Austrians in WW1, it's really funny how much they fucked up.

Germany would have been more civilized if they had democracized during Wilhelm 1

>Muh savage hun meme
More and more lies from beady eyes.

Look at how well that worked for Mexico.

>Austria didn't exist before 19th century: the post
Austrian and Russian military is the main reason why a quarter of Europe isn't in Turkish hands.

Better than what would've happened if Mexico was Protestant, it is a comparative issue friendo

You mean like the USA?

>hey his
>hahahaah germany was bad

Mkay this is not getting old at all.

Did he die?

Both world wars were started by an Austrian.

>Wilhelm II was an Austrian

Obviously. Austria was a civilized, cultured state, while Prussia was a militarist-austist disaster. Prussia Prussianized Germany after incorporating it, and that wouldn't have happened if they had been destroyed earlier.

No, but Conrad von Hötzendorf certainly was Austrian, and nobody did more to start WW1 than him.

No, Hotzendorf started a small regional war in the Balkans. It was Wilhelm who made it a world war.

Yes

>Hotzendorf started a small regional war in the Balkans

And he deliberately concealed what he was doing, keeping both Germany and Russia in the dark until the last possible minute, which eliminated any chance of a diplomatic resolution. Once it became clear that Conrad was planning to utterly destroy Serbia, both Russia and Germany were forced to rapidly mobilize in response, which is how it became a world war.

>Russia and Germany were forced
>forced
No, they did that out of their own will. Everyone had a stake in that war and the German stake just involved dragging the entire continent into a meat grinder.

You still haven't really offered any reason why Hotzendorf didn't start the war. You just think that Kaiser Wilhelm II made it worse, which he did, but he didn't conspire to start a war. Hotzendorf certainly did conspire to start a war, and unquestionably so. Any honest appraisal of the situation would be forced to concluded that Conrad von Hotzendorf deserves the largest portion of the blame, because he deliberately took actions to initiate the conflict.

Mexicans aren't Catholic, they're fucking weirdos who run around LARPing as Catholics
