I can't understand what social science is?

I can't understand what social science is?

For people who aren't smart enough for STEM.

Pretty sure they arent that big

Social sciences are a part of STEM

The scientific method applied to human society

why is /pol/ so obsessed with this slut?

I've never seen this chick on /pol/

Social sciences are rejects of biology.

My cousin does it and now she thinks nobody has any right to question anythibg she says when she talks about white privilege and studf because she is an expert with a social science degree.

Id social her science, if you know what I mean.

It's science of the social world, what's not to understand?

As long as you don't bring per capita figures into it. Raw Data is the only acceptable data in Social science

Big tiddies asian

>that pic

he's going to have a surprise when he wakes up lol

Goodness I can't even imagine going to bed with a qt Asian gf and waking up in the morning to find she's pregnant with our future hapa child :3

Most great economists are failed mathematicians and physicists, not failed biologists.

Who is this porn unicorn?

>Most great economists are failed mathematicians and physicists
>failed mathematicians and physicists
That would go a long way to explain all those economic policy failures and jut why Keynesian economics is so popular...

Natural science examines nature
Social science examines society

Hope I could help

>That would go a long way to explain all those economic policy failures and jut why Keynesian economics is so popular...
That and the part where they seem to be ill-read on Keynes. How exactly does one go from "the gov't is the purchaser of last resort to kick-start the economy" to "the gov't will spend all the money and make the economy work forever through the power of national debt" ?

How does Keynesian economics get responsibility for national debt? If you look at the US and the UK then between WW2 and 1980, when they were using Keynesian economics their debt dropped spectacularly. It was when Monetarism became popular that the debt exploded.

National debt began to rise after Keynesianism was dropped in 1979

I tell you this : Through social science we can predict and simulate interactions of different societies.

>A group of human is one living entity.
The above statement increase it's correctness as the group increase it's size.

Ostensibly these, but it's often clouded by ethics and feelings, but so are the Hard Sciences.

the cancer killing your history department

Hari Seldon go to bed

Bot alert boys, AI is getting better

Yeah a fellow if the foundation I see

Hari is right though, the larger a group is the more accurately you can predict its actions

What about a degree that is just titled "social science" and that's the name of the degree.

I studied 19th century English literature, what does that fall under?

Is that interdisciplinary? I would put in by default in mid tier as that does depend on what social science classes you take.

Unemployed

Got me there, but I didn't rack up a penny in debt in pursuit of that degree so that's a giant load off my shoulders.

Literature by itself isn't a social science. Though, if it's 19th century I'd say it's more historical if anything.

A series of opinions based on quantitative, subjective data.
AKA complete bullshit under serving of the 'science' label (well, except for economics, history and maybe linguistics).

The degree is just called social science.

Well then it really depends on what classes you take to get that degree. Honestly, it sounds too broad, there must be some sort of concentration to it.

It's not the economists that messed up; it's the politicians. Even the most interventionist economists understand that business cycles will happen and will resolve themselves. The goal is to just make them nicer. Politicians, on the other hand, know that they can get elected by spending more. They respond appropriately to recessions, but they don't tax during expansions to balance things out. And, of course, they're always distrustful of the central bank, even though it's one of the most non-partisan institutions (at least in the US and EU).

This

also a great number of contributors to economics are just actual mathematicians, and economists have made contributions to mathematics

>tfw wanted to pursue linguistics but had no idea what I'd do after college

Teach English

Gross
I probably would have studied historical linguistics if anything

Probably why Hitler made the Japanese honorary Aryans.

>this bullshit meme again

...

>scan the text for "honorary Aryans"
>nope, not there

Those tits are fucking amazing

Declaring me an honorary klingon has about the same effect as declaring someone an aryan or any other fictional race

>Well he didn't EXACTLY say honorary Aryans, he was a racist who wanted to genocide anyone not blond haired, blue eyed!
