I always found the idea of taking pride in ones "genes" to be weird, it's not like most of us are descendant from 16th century aristocracy, most of our ancestors were probably peasants, yet today we see movements of people fetishizing western high culture and linking it to race even though those of us who can relate to it are very few, I mean most people would think it would be absurd to try and claim some sort of benefit from Bill Gates's success because he's also a white man, yet people would do it when it comes to old remarkable historical figures.

Intelligent parents (not meme-pseudointelligent) will have good genes for their children.
