>she has to press charges for the prosecutor to even give one tenth of a shit
>that is going to take a lot of her own time and effort
>you get a lawyer
>it probably goes to trial
>a lot of bickering and probably reduced charges
>you pay fines and go on probation or get a month of jail tops if there's a shred of a case against you
