perhaps. but the traditional historiography has it that fascist movements were most powerful in countries whose ambitions were frustrated by wwi, namely germany, austria and italy where they gained power. romania got everything it wanted so what was the excuse for a movement claiming to restore national glory and honor as fascism does?

If you think about it there were many opportunistic countries in WW1 like Japan, Greece and Italy due to the ensuing clusterfuck, but really nobody got as much clay as Romania. Italy fought pretty admirably and only got Trieste and Albania and some vague promises for Turkish clay, but that was it. Romania got nearly 50% of then Hungary.

They didn't do much, all they did was help defeat the Germans in Asia. Not fair to claim they were pathetic in WW1.
