Off the top of my head, Armenians were like the Jews of the Ottoman Empire, a minority group that was very successful in trade and was despised by many Turks. There are also Chinese in SE Asia, who have dominated business and finance there and faced massacres and state-sponsored discrimination in Indonesia and Malaysia. Yet /pol/ doesn't come up with conspiracy theories about these groups being evil.
Now, the members of all of these groups have engaged in nepotism to some degree throughout history. However, they also have cultures which strongly value education and financial success, which is how they got so far in the first place.

Armenians were actually pretty popular in the Empire for a long time; they made for good dentists and craftsmen, and were often treated quite well (even after the Massacres, those who survived in cosmopolitan cities lived as somewhat respectable folk).

My father remembers an elderly Armenian doctor from his childhood who'd treat the ill folk of his neighborhood for free and even economically backed up those who were unable to support themselves (stuffing money under their pillows while checking their lungs with a stethoscope, etc).

I am from Speyer (Germany) and this town used to have a very influential jewish community. What most people dont know is, that jewish ghettos were actually an invention of the jews themselves. There are documents in the curch of Speyer that clearly show that the Jews wanted to live isolated from the rest of the city, and they paid a large sum to the city so that their ghetto was also protected by a high wall from the poor christians.
