umm, sweetie, your figures are off 10 fold

Story time.

Not much. My grandfather was a descendant of German settlers to the military frontier, served in the Croatian Home Guard during WW2, got shot like a dog 13 years after the war by the state police, a month after my mother had been born.

Fuck off hoaxa fag.

leave that tito son of a whore to uncle joe

But he literally DID

>Some of the sites, such as the mass graves in Maribor, include some of the largest mass graves in Europe.[2][3][4] Nearly 600 such sites have been registered by the Commission on Concealed Mass Graves in Slovenia, containing the remains of up to 100,000 victims.[5][6][7] They have been compared by the Slovenian historian Jože Dežman to the Killing Fields in Cambodia.[2]
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_graves_in_Slovenia

This is in post-war Slovenia alone.

t. slovene

He was independent from Moscow and his economic modeled allowe a certain dose of freedom.
He wasn't good but he was considerably better than typical communist dictators.

>"Killing civilians and prisoners of war after the Second World War is the greatest massacre of unarmed people of all times in Slovenian territory. Compared to Europe, the Yugoslav communist massacres after the Second World War are probably right after Stalinist purges and the Great Famine in the Ukraine. The number of those killed in Slovenia in the spring of 1945 can now be estimated at more than 100,000, Slovenia was the biggest post-War killing site in Europe. It was a mixture of events, when in Slovenia there are retreating German units, collaborator units, units of the Independent State of Croatia, Chetniks and Balkan civilians; more than 15,000 Slovenian inhabitants were murdered as well. Because of its brevity, number of casualties, way of execution and massiveness, it is an event that can be compared to the greatest crimes of communism and National Socialism.[8]"

Quote by Jože Dežman, historian and chairman of the commission on concealed mass graves in Slovenia. This is in 1945 alone exclusively on the territory of SR Slovenia, never mind the other republics and the subsequent years.

>mass graves
>vast majority have less than 20 bodies
>about half are of axis soldiers

>15,000
>comparable to the greatest crimes of communism

Starve yourself, tankie

Quality image you got there, buddy.

vocaroo.com/i/s0gFw7ejYoQZ

What part of "sensible" made it sound like I thought it was a bad thing?

>I make up shit
The vast majority of graves have unknown numbers and excavations are rarely done as its still a touchy subject and those which were done were mostly done fairly recently. The Barbara pit, for example, had 700-800 body exhumed before they stopped work. Pic very much related.

In Tezno, for example, they exhumed 70 meters of an anti-tank ditch that was over 3km long and found over 1000 bodies, using ground penetrating radar they confirmed burials in 981 meters of the trench, which is estimated to contain ~15 thousand bodies.

>muh axis soldier
POW's shot extra-judicially without trial

>I'm a retard that can't read
15 thousand of those shot were Slovenes (Slovenia being the only country in ex-yu to tally their world war 2 casualties after the dissolution of Yugoslavia) out of a total of ~95k of Slovenes that died in world war 2 (itself a massive % of the population), 15k were shot by communists after the war without trial, including civilians and women. The total tally of those shot is estimated above 100 thousand.

>we'll just shot people without trial and say they were all fascists n shieet.
>what do you mean not being a communist doesn't make you a fascist

The fuck was that supposed to mean?

Sorry, I guessed you was that hoaxa guy.

Most overrated leader of the 20th century.

His nation was kept alive by the West so it wouldn't fall under soviet rule, once the soviet union dissolved the West lost interest in yugoslavia. So it fell apart, but it didn't only fall apart, but it led to an extremely brutal civil war in the middle of europe, because our "benevolent dictator" here took the Clusterfuck that is Yugoslavia, and turned into an even bigger, fatter, stinkier Clusterfuck during the 40 years of his reign.

It's all good, I fucking hate tankies too.

It wasn't so much kept alive by West as much as his personal charisma and authority.
Once he was gone there was no one to replace him, and collective rule which was instituted was too politically weak to deal with the economic and societal problems, which only grew larger as a consequence.
Of course it was his fault his regime was based on himself, and that he removed all the potential capable successors.
Many of those killings weren't ordered by Tito and killings in Slovenia were done by other Slovenes, I hope you're aware of that.
Slovenia had it's own and quite autonomous partisan movement.
Furthermore, what communists did can't compare with their opponents, especially Ustašas.

No, it was kept alive by the West. Once that sweet capitalist money stopped coming unemployment went >20% since the government could not finance all the useless labour anymore. In a society with such huge economic problems his "charisma" would have helped jack shit. Nationalists would have sitll taken over.

Yugoslavia's debt was like 20% of GDP.
That's not really how it happened. Though yes, socialist economy wasn't very effective.

>Many of those killings weren't ordered by Tito
Nah, they were ordered by the sky fairy. Tito dindu nuffin.

>and killings in Slovenia were done by other Slovenes
Wrong, there were special units that did the killings, they were not organised along ethnic lines and even if they were, they were communists working on orders from above.

>Slovenia had it's own and quite autonomous partisan movement.
Key word being had, by 1944 Slovene partisans were under Tito's control (de jure in 1943)

>Furthermore, what communists did can't compare with their opponents, especially Ustašas.
Fuck off you dumb Serbshit. Even if that was true what the fuck does it have to do with what we're discussing you fucking mongoloid? Oh, no, ustashe were killing people, we better kill people too! We're justified now!

>muh debt
Yeah, just ignore the fucking negative GDP 'growth' of -11% in 1990. You people are fucking retarded.

I'm a Croat.
>negative GDP
Exactly, political and economic problems weren't dealt with, that's why economy and state imploded. Did you even read my posts, or you're just desperate to argue?
Life is not a fairy tale, you often have to pick the lesser evil, and communists were lesser evil at that time.

It was so low because nobody wanted to give them money, or only to absurdely high interest rates. Most african countries also have debt that is

i said you were off ten fold and i was right

>you're off 10 fold
>because they only killed an estimated over (!) 100 thousand people in the year of 1945 alone on the territory of Slovenia alone (which comprises 10% of the territory of Yugoslavia)
Yes, you were right but only if its opposite day

>Life is not a fairy tale, you often have to pick the lesser evil, and communists were lesser evil at that time.
Why would we become a western democracy when we can pick communism for 50 years and have a civil war before becoming a western democracy?

Try 7% of that at very most, and he wasn't the one who ordered it.

Reading about Goli Otok. What a piece of shit he was.

Yugoslavia was like a smaller commie version of West Germany, a buffer zone that the US was willing to nuke the moment the Cold War got hot.

The reason why the west poured money into it so that if would remain neutral and wouldn't join the Soviets.

>one million people

That's like spare change for a dictator in that time period.

Hey guys what's going on in this thr-

...

>Yugoslavia's debt was like 20% of GDP
What's the debt to gdp ratio of the various post Yugoslav republics of today? I don't even have to google it as im pretty sure it exceeds 20% on average.

>one million people
Negro what the fuck. If one million people died in post-war purges that would be a huge part of the population. There would be no hiding that. Every village would have scores of people executed.

The population total was, what, 15 million people after the war? Where do you think all these bodies are, idiot?

With all the anti-Yugoslav nationalism arising in the 90s you'd think someone would bring up the fact that Tito killed A MILLION PEOPLE.

200,000 would have been a reasonable estimate, including Ustashe/Chetnik stragglers. Maybe even 300,000.

But a million?

Please explain, using YOUR OWN SOURCES, how that's possible, because you're taking a single state and extrapolating outward.

Slovenia may have had 100,000 killed. Okay. How does that equate to a million nationally? Remember, " It was a mixture of events, when in Slovenia there are retreating German units, collaborator units, units of the Independent State of Croatia, Chetniks and Balkan civilians; more than 15,000 Slovenian inhabitants were murdered as well." The vast majority belonged to Last Stand Axis and collaborator forces, which means these numbers are much higher than in the other republics.

Take the 15,000 civillians. That's a reasonable one. Extrapolate based on population, and some very rough back-of-the-envelope map should give you less than 200,000 nationally.

Tito is based, and i'm not even a gommie. People who unironically hate him are usually faggots like whose ancestors were colaborating chetnik/ustashe scum of the Earth. They deserved every bullet they got because they were disguisting animals who did far worse.

He was far from perfect of course, but he still did a damn good job at making something better out of these sad little people. His greatest mistake was not appointing a capable successor who would unconditionally continue the Titoist tradition, which, if applied well, could've became something similar to Dengism after his death, steady transition from socialist economy to capitalism. If anything Yugoslavia had good predisposition for that because it already practiced a much laxed version of socialism. What we got was a bunch of incompetent fuckturds who were too stupid to govern properly and then just went full nationalist when everything started going to shit because of their incompetence.
