The sad thing is that people who emulate and appropriate it in the horror genre end up doing it better, more accesible, more than just a genre experimentation for a niché audience.

Romanticism was virtually dead by Stravinsky's time.
Adore and admire baroque since childhood for it's brevity and precision. Romanticism and classics seem to be too protracted and boring for me. Why to prolong for an hour what could be completely expressed in 10 minutes? :-)
