Why are we supposed to feel bad because God gave up "his only Son" for us...

Why are we supposed to feel bad because God gave up "his only Son" for us? It just seems like a rich kid giving up his favorite toy, is that supposed to be seen as generous? And by the way, how can God "give anything up"? How can a being who encompasses and owns all, lose anything or give anything? Where is that thing that is given supposed to go?

I'm still trying to figure out why Jesus isn't female.

What a timeline that would be.

But Jesus is god? So he didn't actually give up anything, but he did? lmao hebrew mythology

All teachings relating to Christ are ultimately incoherent.

Left a was a noble roman citizen, right is a crybaby nigger that must be lynched

Delete that pic, if you look closely they dont look alike

>Why are we supposed to feel bad
More joyous than bad.

God became man, exposing himself to the fallen nature of man and to humiliation, judgement and torture at the hands of the Jews and Romans. He who is perfect and without sin, accepted punishment that was not His to bear so that he could save man who does not deserve to be saved.

It has nothing to do with a timeline and everything to do with theology. If Jesus is the "lamb of god" offered for our sins, than Jesus should be female, since lambs as sin offerings are female.

>If Jesus is the "lamb of god" offered for our sins, than Jesus should be female
Might as well complain that if Jesus is the "Lamb of God" then why is human, and not actual lamb.

>Jews, Romans characterized as bad guys, they're the villains of the NT really
>Jesus's plan all along was to die for our sins
>Jews, Romans kill him
>Ergo they were helping him fulfill his plan
How are they the bad guys then?

In other languages, they don't call him the "Lamb of God". iirc in South-east Asia he's the Pig of God, because traditionally the people in those areas sacrificed pigs, not lambs.

Lamb of god is literally in the Bible though

Yes, and some translations are localized more than others.

parables op. illustrations for priests to carefully share with believers. a heavily edited farmers almanac if you may. was jesus by the lake in matthew or by the sea, which version, oh both?

The former for mangling their own religion and the latter for perverting the word of Christ for political purposes

Christianity is a stupid religion. No deity would ever sacrifice themselves for worthless apes.

>but but muh Hephaetus
He wanted to see the monkeys play with fire

Jesus also doesnt act like a god as hes a fucking pussy.

Because it was massive cosmic injustice, op. The Trinity had always been a happy society in itself. The decision for the Christ to take flesh, live as a sacrifice, and then be separated from the Father was the most unjust action in history, especially since it was to benefit fallen man.

>roman
You mean egyptoroman

>as he's a fucking pussy
Kek who worships a dead Jew hail Odin amiright guis :D

Define "act like a god". Killing millions with thunderbolts?

A god who behaves that way isn't worthy of being god. At least the bible got that right.

Christianity was a Jewish plot to destroy Rome

>the Pig of God
[autistic Jewish and Muslim screeching]

Is it weird that I want to fuck the guy on the left.

So the bible claims god isn't worthy of being god?

Roman was never an ethnicity.

Time to stop posting, retard.

He's right tho

Please tell me what is wrong with my statement. Oh wait you can't.

God's overrated, Jesus did all the work

So according to Christianity God gave us free will and sin was a result of that, but what about all those times God hardened peoples hearts and forced them to persecute his people and crucify Jesus? Wouldn't those situations violate free will? If free will is something that he can just turn off at whim why even bother with sin in the first place?
