Russians were bad in WW1

>Russians were bad in WW1
they literally beat the shit out of Austrians and Ottomans with ease
it was only Germany who caused them problems and that's because Germany had the strongest military in the world

They largely has shit morale though especially later on

that's because of the leftist bolsheviks spreading defeatism behind the ranks

They succeeded because of racially Tatar or German generals.

Also, the most underrated theatre of the war is the Galician front. There the Ottomans + Austrians + Germans did well.

Also cold-war memehistorians in the Anglo-American sphere loved to spread this idea that Russia was always shitty and couldn't fight wars well.

Kinda wish we didn't enter WW1 though. None of that Soviet crap would have happened

[THIS IS WHAT STORMFAGS ACTUALLY BELIEVE]

>>/pol/

>In August 1914 Russian armies moved against both German East Prussia and Austria-Hungary's largest province of Eastern Galicia, straddling the present-day Poland/Ukraine border. Its advance into Germany was soon repulsed but its Galician campaign was more successful. General Nikolai Ivanov overwhelmed the Austro-Hungarian forces under Conrad von Hötzendorf[citation needed] during the Battle of Galicia, and the whole Austrian front fell back over 160 kilometres (100 mi) to the Carpathian Mountains. The fortress at Przemyśl was the only Austrian post that held out and by September 28 was completely behind Russian lines. The Russians were now in a position to threaten the German industrial region of Silesia,

During the winter Hötzendorf launched 3 offensives in the Carpathian Mountains, attempting to save the 120,000 troops inside of Przemyśl. The Carpathian Mountains during the winter were not good grounds for offensives, all 3 offensives failed, resulting in 800,000 Austrian casualties.

On March 22 the Austrians surrendered, and the remaining 117,000 troops were taken prisoner.

Yeah, really top-notch officers here

>Kinda
>I kinda like air

*encircles your entire army*
pssh, nothing personal kid

They weren't bad, but they weren't great either, the official WW1 ranking looks like
Germany > France > UK > US > Russia > AH > Turks

So did the French, in the latter stages of the war

Uwot? The US entering the war (no matter how forced and criminal the causus belli) was the only thing that salvaged any semblance of anti-Communist order in Western Europe. We gave the Entente the leverage necessary to force a 'win', (no matter how phyrric it was,) which did a lot to grant legitimacy to their governments.

Imagine if Wilson wasn't an absolute faggot and didn't authorize shipping through waters that the Germans had expressly told our merchant marine to avoid, thus keeping the US neutral.

>France and Germany already in full meltdown both socially and militarily by 1918, with the economic situation in the UK starting to rapidly deteriorate
>Without the inevitably of the Entente receiving an obscene boost in well-equipped manpower with high morale from the US, the German High Command doesn't surrender and instead holds the line (which is still far from German soil) in an effort to force a white peace
>The UK makes headway, but cannot maintain a strategic offensive
>War continues into 1919-20, with Austria-Hungary completely dissolved, France in the early stages of civil war, and Germany facing open rebellion by Jewish Communists (who would have had much more support in this scenario), while the average Brit starts resenting that millions of them have died to protect a faggot country like Belgium

>With the legitimacy and capability to wage war of every regime in free-fall, a white peace is reached. Having gone through and sacrificed so much for nothing, the citizenry is understably very upset, and since the horrors of the Soviet Union haven't been made known yet, and because Fascism doesn't exist yet, the only anti-WW1 movement is Communism.

>including US in WW1 power ranking

But the turks werent that bad though? Id at least put them ahead of AH

Marching the main army into the Caucasus mountains in summer uniforms automatically earns you the bottom ranking

The Turks could have easily been knocked out of the war if the British hadn't screwed up the Dardanelles Offensive.

>We

You lose one army to arrogant commanders' bullshit and suddenly you're the worst military ? By that logic, Germany, France, and UK should be bottom ranking.

They did well in Kut and held their own in Palestine.

Kut + Gallipoli means they were OK in 1918.

so they had a shit army? cool.
what's the point of this thread again.

t. Tatar nigger

Who's talking about the US?
