leave that to new zealand

Is it mass produced?

German autism

the eternal kiwi

to their defense this was designed in WW1 as a quick rushed response to Mark IV
this was designed in WW2

the tiger

does the Trojan Horse count as a tank?

Dumb meme, just as retarded as the "muh 5 Shermans = 1 Tiger" bs.

>designed

they literally bought an american tractor and re-purposed a chicken coup over it

no, prototype

Have fun.

I'd say it's creative, but...

Jesus christ, what were the french thinking?

...

Is military weaponry the most autistic area of study when it comes to history?

no, that would be economics

Easy

fuggg :DDD

OH NO NO NO NO

Holy shit
>Speed
>3 km/h

Thank god it stayed as being experimental

Not exactly a tank per say.

The steam tank. It was made by the US in 1917, and it was essentially a copy of the British Mark IV, but it was steam powered.

Why

SUMMON THE ELECTOR COUNTS

You're aware Mark tanks went around that speed too, right?
Or did you believe that BF1 was realistic?

You guys are being ahistorical. You need to assess the effectiveness of the tank relative to the time it was produced. That's the only way you can compare tanks across time periods.

>Boirault machine (No2)

I love how it says "It preceded the design and development of the English Little Willie tank by six months" as if that abomination is in any way related or comparable to what the British made.

Britain made a tank, the French just made a fucking meme machine.

A WEAPON TO SURPASS METAL GEAR

>Britain made a tank

No they didn't
The Marks were more akin to a slow unround wheel than to a tank
France made the first real tank (FT-17)

WW1 was such a fucking mess
I love it

the MK 1 is literally the origin of the term tank for armoured fighting vehicles you absolute tard

>Or did you believe that BF1 was realistic?
BF1? What?
I just never realized tanks were that slow at one point in history. I'm a plane-fag, so my tank knowledge is near zero.

easy

oh and we can't forget its brother

...

autist detected

But user that looks fucking awesome.

You realize the french built tanks at the same time as that machine and at the same time as the british right
And that the FT 17 was the best tank of the first world war.. Right?

Let me guess, it has a tendency to fall over.

REEEE LEAVE MY BOB SEMPLE ALONE
DELET

Cute.

This should have been an /thread

I want to reinforce the Valiant posted earlier:
>the turret interior consisted of a wooden bench and a 57mm--there was no space for ammunition
>the turret traverse was hidden underneath the gun, so ideally the crew would disassemble the front of the turret, rotate said turret, adjust the bench, and then screw the gun back in
>the tank could only be driven on on a perfectly flat featureless terrain like a salt flat, or else it grounded itself
>maximum depth of vision without standing on the bench and peeking out the top was 10 yards out
>attempting to change from fifth gear could kill the driver
>attempting to brake could kill the driver
>the traverse of the gun, which thankfully could not actually traverse for previously stated reasons, could kill the driver
>the escape hatch could kill the driver
>as part of their training, would-be military engineers would be presented with the sole surviving Valiant and be asked what is wrong with it

>per say

Was the A7V??

watch ur mouf

Valiant

The second version looks metal as fuck.

And somehow it has steering abilities...

It looks like those pieces on the ends of the track links are hinged. Perhaps it could cause them to dig into the ground on one side or the other to turn?

That's a fuck year design. Imagine space marines/guardsman bursting out ready to purge heresy

let's recap:
>french invented the tank
>brits invented the term "tank"

>Slow unround wheel

>A small number of Mark I tanks took part in the Battle of the Somme during the Battle of Flers-Courcelette in September 1916

>The battlefield debut of the Renault FT occurred on 31 May 1918

Because combat debut date differences of a year and a half is "the same time"

NO PEACE JUST WAR

Basically a mobile bunker, isn't it?

...

Pretty much

Nope, got stuck on it's first test drive and was left there for several years.

Daddy, is that you?

I fucking love these little guys

Dude, what if instead of the wheel rotating, the whole thing rotate?

It was clearly effective since we've never been invaded

Also its literally a tractor with corrugated iron and machine guns bolted to it. Glorious

Game?

*peddles behind you*
