Most British people feel no connection with Lithuania or Spain, whereas they do with the Commonwealth. To be fair, I think those policies were mostly made by the pre-boomer generation. The boomers were in their 30s and 40s in the 1980s and 1990s, and I think foreign policy is mostly made by people older than that.

You can definitely argue there were good points to the movement early on but what it eventually morphed into and spawned is an incredibly obnoxious, actively anti-intellectual series of movements that mostly just do nothing worthwhile or cause harm by protesting stupid shit.
