Do you think Germany would have won ww1 if it never performed unrestricted submarine warfare?

Do you think Germany would have won ww1 if it never performed unrestricted submarine warfare?

Not only did it force the USA into the war, it also dragged in Brazil too.

Probably yes. But they would have to live with the USA continuesly resuply Britain during the war and signing a treathy with france and Britain.

1. Adopt a defensive strategy in the West. Britain will still enter the war (couldn't risk a German-dominated continent), but a few months later, and wouldn't have hurt Germany's diplomatic standing. Keep the French west of the Rhine and ensure they pay dearly for every inch.

2. Adopt a Russia-first strategy to rapidly seize as much of Congress Poland and Lithuania as possible before winter. Russia will likely sue for peace after Riga falls in late 1915; take Congress Poland, Ober Ost, Livonia, and Estonia. Turn west and push the French and British out of Germany and to Paris.

Probably not, the invasion of Belgium gives the British a means to enter the war.
More would need to change.

Sounds very nice

USA would have joined regardless.

>it also dragged in Brazil too.
Who the fuck cares?

...

Perhaps. Unlike in WW2 where Nazi situation was pretty much hopeless and their victory would depend on their opponents being absolutely retarded, Imperial Germany had a chance.

Nothing "forced" America into the war. Wilson deliberately engineered American entry. Nothing would have changed.

>regardless,

Of what? The only reason they joined was because of the Lusitania

Even though the only reason Wilson was reelected because "He kept us out of the war"

that's a meme

Possibly but they would need more than just that, it would have meant a stronger briton and wouldnt have changed the deadlock in the west or the outcome in the east

>what is the Zimmerman telegram

God forbid you discuss alliances against a country that actively supports your enemies in war.

Reminder that the US used civilians as human shields for arms deliveries to the UK and deceived the public after the German attack, despite the German embassy having warned the civilians.

No.

huh, it's almost as though a politician misled people about his future intentions due to his interest in something unpopular with the general public.

If only that changed, no. That snake Wilson would've found another way to get into the war

No, without the US Germany loses in 1919 due to famines, peace treaty might be less harsh because Germany is in a better position to resist if terms are to harsh. We've been over this.

Oh no! Not the mighty Brazil!
