Open position means when you have a trade open either long or short (long means buying short means shorting)
x30 leverage means exactly that, He is margin trading using a leverage account, Look up what leverage trading is, essentially the a broker loans you money to trade so even small changes in appreciation such as 1% can make you thousands, you only need to have leverage which means a small percentage of the total amount of money you're using for the positon, it's a bit more complex than that tho, look up these terms and start learning normie
