1920s dance boom

Why did the 1920s saw such an explosion of dance styles in the West? Foxtrot, jazz, tango, charleston, and so on?

People went from waltzing to embracing a dozen different styles in a few years.

radio

because ww1 and developments in music

Syncopated rythms

society was ready for narcissism and degenerate behavior at that point
Hollywood, radio, pornographic literature spread by the petit bourgeois all were really hot in the 20s and 30s
Which is sad since dancing is the most primitive and degenerate behavior because it's a kind of subjective sex
I think it's less dangerous to the human mind Caligula orgy than jazz or tango.
Subversive/insinuation dancing (all dances are a form of sexual language) corrupts mind way more than raw orgy

t. Loser who can't dance

t. jew who projects and/or thinks criticism is always based on "I like vs I dislike" instead of looking at reality
Note: Even if I was a cocaine whore of dancer my opinion stands correct and I believe it's reasonable.

>everyone who disagrees is a Juden

>now faking you are upset I called you something accurate.
A jew don't act like that: Freu didn't act like that. They wait a few more times before dropping the "You are a virgin!" bomb. It works better.
How do I know? I had studied with 3 jewish psychologists.

>I believe it's reasonable
>reasonable

here it is how it works. They taught me in a simulated psychotherapy session
You allow the person to criticize and agree with him/her. If you notice he/she is not dumb, you insinuate he/she is jealous...
That brakes him/her emotionally. You could use cynicism too. It works as well, but the person might get insulted and he/she lose trust on you. By insinuating he/she you can break him/her without losing trust

Blacks and their saxophones

>Syncopated rythms

This. It was caused by letting black people make music.

Just pointing that out since another decent thread is circling the drain thanks to /p*l/

>my opinion is correct

>literally using "I dislike it so it's degenerate"

sounds just like a bloody baptist hiding behind their curtains and pulling hats low in the liquor store

>Fun is jewish and dancing a gateway to cocaine addiction

lol I always wonder if you people are liberals pretending to be what your worst idea of right wingers are

This is the non-meme answer, but shorter skirts probably also made dancing easier.

Fpbp

>People went from waltzing
Dude, there was a lot more than just waltzing to dance before the 20s (Polka, Mazurka, Schottische, etc). You just never heard of them, just like people 50 years from now likely won't know about anything about 20s dances.

The answer is: Afro-American influence.
The American culture could finally take hold in Europe, after WW1 the French cultural hegemony(Let's just call it like that) ended,German,Italian and Russian culture were not able to develop well during Weimar,Fascism&Communism . The British were as always not very interested in the continent. But the French found interest in the music of the Afro-American soldiers and started to develop new dances and copy them from America.
Also of course due to political climate and events nothing more than degeneracy and apathy, with a large portion of narcissism and degeneracy. No clergy, nobility, conservatives or moral thinkers were there to block unwanted cultural development. It closely ressembles the modern days ,just that the technological developments and political reality were different ones.
