You don't belong here with that kind of mindset.

He asked a valid question, you utter faggot.

No, only wipipo care about the ancient world. No one else does.

He's a redditor, it's his job to screech as much as he can at anything slightly not pc.

This board isn't your protectorate quite yet, tumblr.

This, p. much, it's a very valid question. I mean, it was Europeans who deciphered the writing system and founded modern Egyptology. I imagine that without Europeans, Ancient Egypt would be reduced to a vaguely understood curiosity.

No, some french bloke finding the rosetta stone deciphered it when napoleon was larping around in egypt.

It's a valid question, and considering hardline Islamists destroyed Palyrma, and Islam is the dominant faith that if the Pyramids weren't as well understood as they are, they'd be blown to dust.

Egypt has been under muslim influence for centuries, if they wanted to erase their country's history they would've done it a long while ago. And modern egyptians do have museums dedicated to ancient egypt, and try to claim artifacts in euro museums back home. So I would say they do not view it as haram, at least.

Didn't some mudslime imam chip the sphinxes nose off centuries ago to prevent the peasants from worshiping it? It's probably all low key haram but tolerated for tourism bux.

>actually thinking this board is leftist in the slightest

Attempts were made early on to remove the pyramids and sphinx, but it was all too hard and by the time it was practical to blow them up the Brits were in control and after independence they needed tourismbux as you said

>Implying that people have a say in the matter.
>Being this cucked by enlightenment ideology.

>Implying that humanity isn't ruled by trans-dimensional memetic parasites, and that the "rulers" are merely the servants of these organic monstrosities made of habits, icons, and systems.

The only revolution that matters is the revolution of all of humanity against the ideas that enslave us.

He was also hanged by the Mamluks for vandalism.

Where are the Mamlukes when we need them today?

Well they are arabs and muslims so they see it as heretics, you may find some LARPer here saying they dont care but 99% of egyptians see it as heretic

As a copt Id say every christian does. Muslims on the other hand are like split..the religious ones tend to be more proud of being arabs and muzlims while educated/non religious ones tend to be pride of our ancient history.

They see it as easy tourist bucks.

only the first four rashidun are religious authorities in Sunni Islam user.
