Could humanity have domesticated some species of dinosaurs?

No most dinosaurs wouldn't be able to survive in today's atmospheric conditions. There's a reason they died off

Triceratops cataphracts would be fucking amazing

Pick one. There almost certainly wouldn't be any mammals bigger than rats if dinosaurs hadn't gone extinct. Homo sapiens certainly wouldn't exist.

/thread

they probably wouldnt have survived in any large numbers
the younger dryas wiped out most large land mammals anyway

No we'd kill them off like we did every other example of megafauna sans elephants and ocean creatures

They did though.
>t.Chickens

Wrong.

Good explanation

Just imagine what could have been................................

...

...

Probably could have tamed some of the smaller pack animals, however we couldn't have tamed any apex predators like we did with dogs. They're simply too large for humans to keep under control

We can tame birds and even domesticate some. Sure we can get some dino mates but this question is even more pointless than speculatin an Axis victory in WW2, most mammals even wouldn't be able to appear or would follow a different evolutionary path. I'm not really sure we would be here as we are. Atmospheric changes most likely contributed the most to the Cretaceous-Palogene extinction so without those changes Earth's fauna would be much much different.

*sure we could
*paleogene

brainfarted sorry.

>lack feathers
this thread be wrong already

Sorry, most of us aren't YEC here.

Sure. In principal you can domesticate any creature.

They'd have to fit the profile though.

-not to aggressive
-don't compete for the same food
-herbivore (notable exceptions are dogs and cats)
-provide useful ressources (feathers, meat, aid in hunting, labor, etc.)

Mammals literally only evolved bigger because dinosaurs disappeared

Lel nigga dogs and cats violate the first 3

Lel nigga neither cats nor dogs prey on humans.
Lel nigga dogs will eat scraps even a scotsman would not eat.
Lel nigga the whole reason cats were domesticated is because they eat meat.
Lel nigga cats and dogs actively took part in their domestication, hanging around humans because they offered them a source of food.

Lel nigga u stopid.

But user, that's exactly how things already are.
Pic related, a dinosaur.

Shit, with that source I cant compete

Humanity would have never been a thing. Our would-be ancestors would not be able to compete with those things around.

What is that
