The USA could have easily defeated all nations of that time at the height of their power in WW2 with their 1945 military.

Is this a correct statement?
>pic semi-related

russia probably would have lost eventually considering that there was no way they'd be able to match american industry.

Nuclear weapons

>Conquering the entirety of Eurasia
That's an awfully tall order for any nation

USA had 12 million soldiers at the time.
and also were in the early stages of nuclear weapons production

Navy and Air force were by far the strongest as well

>12 million soldiers
12 million enlisted, not all of them are soldiers, the majority do boring shit like unload boxes and drive trucks

Even still, ~50,000,000 were registered for the draft.

If you allow USA to draft 100% (which isn't reasonable) but just say they do. Would anyone stand a chance against that?

Depends entirely on how willing the population is to tolerate that, the USA dosen't have the NKVD Gestapo or Kempeitei to keep a lid on their internal dissent

Absolutely not.
They only performed that well because they had allies and bases all around the world from which they could project their power. With the whole 1945 world against America, they'll score a quick victory over Mexico and Canada, then they'll invade in South America and fight the might of the Red Army, Wehrmacht, British Army and all other nations supporting who are transported to South America with the Royal Navy, Japanese and Italian navies and to some extent the Soviet and German navies.
The Americans also wouldn't be able to strike anywhere properly even with B-36 because they'd be shredded by fighters thousands of miles from the coast.

The USA was incredibly powerful in 1945, but not *that* powerful.

*I assumed for the post that OP meant that the US could easily defeat all nations combined, if he only meant they could defeat any nation, then probably yes, but definitely not easily, and not without some allies.

girls (female) without pants are my fetish

No, it is not. While it is theoretically possible that they could have won a war against the rest of the world together, it would have been enormously difficult to do so.

/thread

>girls (female) without pants are my fetish
It's called being "heterosexual, user.
Also
>girls (female)
user, I...

The only reason Russia was even capable of winning was because of American industry.
Without American aid, Russians would have lost just like they did in WWI.

inb4 mad commies

>100% draft
Their industry would probably go to shit in short order. Same goes for their supply lines.

Yes. The U.S can't be outmatched industrially and you can't invade them because you'll get assfucked by partisans.

>you can't invade them because you'll get assfucked by partisans
Nice meme.

Partisans only work when they're instructed by foreign intelligence and supported by commandos in order to aid foreign military operations. Partisans on their own are but a minor annoyance that is completely worthless and won't stop an invading army that means business.

No, given the democratic institutions of US. All out war isnt feasible, nor is meat grinder approach.

so they can swin long distance and fly?
you are being stupid

In 1945 the United states had 11 professional Army divisions, 19 National Guard, 12 Army of the United States (drafted and volunteers), and about 26 reserve divisions, of which only about 2/3 were actually sent to combat (also were composed of drafted recruits). 20 Armored. And about 4 Airborne. About 100 divisions in total. And about 1m-1.5m actual combat troops. Many of these divisions never even left America/Britain. Only about 50 were in Europe at the end of the war.

At the end of the war the Brits 60 Divisions in total. The French around 20 as it was restructuring.

Germany in 1945 meanwhile had about 130 Divisions in eastern front and unlike the meme that they were elderly and kids, it was more like they began recruiting 30-40 year olds when they were only recruiting 20 year olds previously and some elderly or old ostruppen were included.

The Soviets meanwhile had some 100 divisions participating in the Battle of Berlin alone and on the Western front in its entirety some 250 well experienced 40 of which were armored corps, and around 50 divisions on the boarder of Japan. There's simply nothing anyone could have done if they didn't stop marching till they hit Sevilla.

Why did the American fear the samurai? What did they see that caused them to drop 2 nuclear bombs out of desperation?

They feared the Soviets would rape them first so the Americans had to mark their territory.

> The USA could have easily defeated all nations of that time at the height of their power in WW2 with their 1945 military.

Far from easily, but yeah.

>Ground forces are the only forces in war
>Soviet divisions had comparable levels of manpower and firepower to western ones
>The same USSR that could only advance 175 km a month against the dregs of the Wehrmacht in 1945 would somehow sweep past the entirety of the Anglo-Allies and France in one huge lunge before the much greater industries and manpower pools of said alliance could flood Germany/France with troops.
You're special.

The samurais knew ancient forgotten arts that allowed them to conjur up wild tsunamis, capable of ripping landing craft to shreds. The Soviets would have lost their entire army and America knew the same would happen to them.

Oh I'm not arguing they were, but OP was talking about amount of soldiers later on in the thread.

British had first/second largest AF, that's what they focused on and asked for recruits all war. They had some 170 Wings or so and the Soviets had a similar amount.

Soviets did compare in manpower. Soviet divisions had about 2500 infantry per regiment (and about 6000-12000 generally in total) and Americans had about 4000 ideally but usually down to 2500-3000 was more common.

Though this image is a bit misleading (Americans had smaller signal corps and SP-Art and A-T which are included in the 'special troops'), the divisional structure is however very much the same standard.

I know there's a lot in your pic that I should be mad at, but the US uniform is the worst. It looks NOTHING like any uniform I've ever seen!

Defeating the British navy and airforce would be very tricky

Occupying japan would also be a very hard feat

Then there is Australian outback which would be extremely difficult to get to while the Aussies could just retreat into with knowledge of all the watering holes

Russia and Germany could be done as would france but if they teamed up Europe would be impossible

That being said the idea of Nazis(Germans) communists and kinda socialists/nationalists(French) teaming up would be a better way to destroy Europe than actually going to war with them as it would take only a few weeks before in fighting turns into something very violent
