>Bridging DLT and SWIFT messaging with SmartContract.com – Innotribe Industry Challenge 2016 winner
>As DLTs mature, it is becoming increasingly clear that no single platform will replace a significant end-to-end financial business process in one step. Rather it seems increasingly likely that DLT will work with other automation technologies, including messaging and APIs. In this session we hear how the 2016 Innotribe Industry Challenge winner proposes to bridge DLT platforms with ISO 20022-compliant SWIFT messaging. SmartContract.com will present a live demo of a Proof of Concept where a DLT platform manages ISO 20022-compliant bond instruments, while an ISO 20022-aware Smart Oracle settles coupon payments off-ledger through ISO 20022 payment messages over SWIFT.
im sure the board lurkers know by now man. this is just the beginning
Jayden Cooper
guys im nervous, this is our shot right?
how much did you put into this?
I want to go all in but maybe $7000 would be enough?
Robert Clark
im a consultant in capgem. i implement swift in banks. i've talked with a bunch of their senior engineers about LINK. no one has heard about them. swift approached big4 consulting firms to understand blockchain but thats about it.
Lucas Howard
I just realized today that link owns the domain smartcontract.com in another thread. Holy shit that alone is going to gain them so much attention when smart contracts become a world recognized phrase, we are literally in on the ground floor of something so big anons, I am euphoric
Leo Jenkins
Well, in the worst case, you will have $15k
Henry Ward
This
David Hughes
Yeah, also this. Smartcontract domain is also important.
Lucas Wilson
>I just realized today that link owns the domain smartcontract.com in another thread porn.com
Brayden Cook
Wow they must be retarded if they don't even read their own company newsletters/announcements or know what's going on. Must be an easy job you got.
Jaxson Parker
Retard question here: are they going to create their own blockchain to operate on, or will this be ethereum based forever?
Angel Davis
lol sounds very convincing
Ethan Stewart
Sorry for you man, at least it’s not Accenture...
Jeremiah Price
It would still be ethereum based.
Dylan Reed
delet this
Henry Roberts
BUY THE DIP
Juan Howard
Ohw, that's nice to know. Buying more.
Landon Hall
point is that this coin is only big on Veeky Forums. internally swift doesnt care. has much more advanced projects on the way.
Angel King
But it's a big opportunity for this coin.
Adam Evans
Everyone who bothered reading about the project knows that this shit is the future
Hudson Bennett
This. That's the reason why I'm 90% in.
Cameron Anderson
Funniest thing is some retards are now hesitating to buy it because price climbed up a tiny bit. Meanwhile I‘m pumping more money into it every day. Gonna ride that Lambo in no time brah.
Grayson Bailey
Yeah. I will never understand this. They think that if you missed this coin in the ICO, you are too late to buy.
Easton Lewis
Laughing all the way to the bank, this will be top 5 with ease in some time.
Mason Myers
how do you buy?
Henry Clark
how about going to fucking coinmarketcap, clicking on the fucking icon, than clicking the "Markets" tab and finding out for yourself????? I dont get these fucking people
Thomas Ward
thx man, appreciate it
Josiah Bailey
>internally swift doesnt care. has much more advanced projects on the way. Wrong. You are completely out of the loop my friend.
SWIFT's ***NUMBER ONE*** blockchain project is a 'Proof of Concept' trial based on Hyperledger (a Distributed Ledger Tech or DLT of which SWIFT was a founding member). The aim is to facilitate international transactions.
2) ***DRUM ROLL*** Smart contracts to help automate the transfer process.
Guess who's doing the live demo for part 2) of SWIFT's premier blockchain project? (at SWIFT's SIBOS conference on October 16th) That's right, pic related.
Source: swift.com/node/39911 (this is a PDF download of an official SWIFT doc. If you don't trust my link, google "Information paper Distributed Ledgers, Smart Contracts, Business Standards and ISO 20022")
All that comes up when you search for "swift" is bitswift
Joseph Cook
Free money guaranteed! Link is the future! BLAST OFF CONFIRMED AND ONGOING! DON't MISS OUT ON CHAINLINK!
Jackson Jones
where do i buy...
Christopher Jenkins

LINK is bae
Wyatt Sanchez
>he thinks that they're going to use LINK and not their own blockchain.
SWIFT is using their own blockchain: Hyperledger Fabric. But like all blockchains, it cannot handle external data without middleware.
Chainlink is that middleware; the oracles translate the external data for use in ANY blockchain. And the best part is that it's decentralized, so the banks don't have to trust some central point of failure to handle the data.
The decentralized nodes are incentivized with ETH-based tokens because Ethereum is what the oracle nodes are connected to, but the data can be tied to any blockchain.
I just changed your mind and made you invest in LINK, and I know you will be grateful in the future. This is enough for me.
Jordan Brooks
Reached the purchase limit on coinbase, now I have no more btc to invest into link (I do that at binance) what site can I buy more btc fast?
Also if anyone would be so kind, rn i'm storing my LINK on binance, is this unsafe and retarded? where should I store them until I can sell them for lambocoins?
Adrian Wilson
store them in etherwallet
Isaac Hughes
>And the best part is that it's decentralized Banks HATE decentralization. Holy fuck linkfags are deluded. Why do you think the company who is headed by the head chairman of the bilderberg owns blockstream and has been halting btc growth so they can implement lightning network? Because banks want centralization. Its literally the only way they make profit.
Brody Bailey
You can use etherdelta, but that place is hell on earth. Had 20k LINK stolen from there two days ago.
Buy the tokens and get them the hell out of there right away. Same with Binance.
Store the tokens on MEW.
Jackson Parker
>Banks HATE decentralization. No they fucking don't. That's why they want to implement blockchain tech so desperately, because decentralized storage of data and proof means the system is trustless. I.e. they don't have to "trust" any single party. What they HATE HATE HATE is having to rely on (trust) other institutions to serve as middlemen. Blockchains and Chainlink remove this concern for them.
Adding a central point of failure in between the banks and the blockchain is RETARDED when the whole point is that they want the decentralization of the blockchain.
Ethan Hernandez
You are a legit brainlet. Im not going to waste my time trying to educate a dumb fuck that spams copy pasta.
Banks like centralization. They hate decentralization. End of story. Another newcoiner fully bought into le decentralization meme. Pathetic.
Robert Ramirez
>doesn't know what decentralized means
Thomas Fisher
I'm a brainlet, I got to MEW and connected a new wallet with my metamask, do I send my LINK tokens to my metamask QR code?
Caleb Barnes
It means they dont control it :^) Again, why would axa cripple btc so they can implement lighting network? Try and and come with up a good answer kthnx
Connor Bell
on binance you fucking moron
Samuel King
...
Jayden Gutierrez
Banks DO NOT want their data to go through a centralized entity, and they do not want it stored centrally.
This is exactly why they want the blockchain so much.
See for instance: coindesk.com/barclays-joins-cls-blockchain-consortium-search-swift-alternative/ This is what SWIFT is doing, but these institutions think SWIFT isn't even going fast enough. Pay attention to this phrase: >"The highest level, by contrast, would see transactions being fully reliant on distributed ledgers without a centralized backup system." Key words: "distributed", and "not centralized".
In fact, the rage among the banks is DLT, or "Distributed Ledger Tech".
Ring any bells?
Luis Perez
who cares. all those wage cucks have missed the first few rounds of the this moon mission because of their ignorance.
good point. people dont realize they were doing smart contracts before ethereuem even launced
Jaxson Davis
>still being wrong but stating your wrong position as if youre right
Henry Evans
Their flow of money remains centralized. Their flow of information also remains centralized. The reliability and safety of said information is what the decentralization is for.
Jace Jackson
Banks don't give a fuck about decentralization vs centralization, that is for idealogues. The ONLY thing banks care about is making more money. They don't care how decentralized something is if they see a way to profit off of it.
Elijah Morgan
Even if the conference is trash it'll still pump beforehand
Cameron Watson
I don't know anything about link or swift. Is this thread telling us to buy link or is there a coin called swift?
Asher Lee
This
Isaac Lee
Buy link because of SWIFT
Chase Myers
My cousin works for Swift in Canada he said the Ripple cucks have been there 4 times in September. Is something going on?
Rocket ready for second blast off! Locked and loaded dude bro's! MOONLINK coming for that second ATH! Buy some link now noobs!
Asher Davis
kys
Brayden Reed
You were dumb enough to install a random plugin
Austin Butler
I opened the document, ctrl+f'ed Link. Literally nothing about the coin. Fuck off with your shilling.
Kevin Baker
Was I?
That SWIFT document shows that their blockchain project consists of two parts: hyperledger and smart contracts. The hyperledger part is already being rolled out, and the smart contracts part is most likely to be handled by Chainlink at this point.
Ian Adams
So do I have to buy into the eth ATH just so I can convert to LINK? already holding but i could use more
Camden Brown
eth ATH was somewhere around 390 USD. its at 303 usd right now. theres no need to be worried buying right now.
Henry Long
My dad works at apple, he said Apple with buy OmiseGo !!!!!
Aiden Jackson
LINK is not a blockchain
Joseph Russell
>Measuring ATHs in dollars instead of sats
Blake Lopez
Wow, someone actually understands what they are investing in. What a refreshing change.
Anthony Williams
Maybe hold off a couple seconds on buying, shits about to tank, TA is looking like a dumperino.
Jonathan Morgan
Nah, the only concern is lack of volume but its easily explained. LINK/BTC has fuck all sells and huge orders, LINK/ETH has the complete opposite. No one wants to do anything kek.
Robert Mitchell
I'm talking really short term, like I'm literally waiting to buy the dip here in the next few minutes
Josiah Moore
called the dip, it should go lower
Caleb Evans
the 15 min chart ema's crossing to downside
should see a dip
Christian Anderson
kek at the lone man trying to push up the dip with his 5 link purchase
Daniel Rogers
What I need to figure out is how to set good target prices and when to get out of or into a position instead of staring at my screen for 4 fucking hours.
Easton Sanchez
Hmm this sure is taking a minute to go either way....
