The Soviets had partially deconstructed the Stalin line but hadn't finished the Molotov Line, and the Germans knew they had to strike before the Molotov Line was finished.

Argentina and Brazil wouldn't want anything to do with him, since he was acting like a psychotic warmonger and if they allied with him they would just incur the wrath of the United States.

That's the funny thing, if Mussolini and Hitler would've just stopped after Ethiopia, Czechoslovakia, and Austria, and then used their power and influence to grow fascism abroad, then it's likely fascism would still exist today.
