Why did white European civilizations advance so much farther than others. Are whites just superior ? We're they blessed with good geography ?

define advance

Geography mostly.

Geography which in turn affected their evolution which in turn made them genetically superior

To a moderate extent.

Europe civilization wasn't ahead of the others until about 1500. Even then, it wasn't OP. It was only in the late 1700s/early 1800s that the industrial revolution made it an existential threat to the rest of the world. A lot of nations got sucker punched hard by European colonialism before they even realized there was such a thing as modernity and that they weren't a part of it.

The rest of the world has been catching up, albeit very slowly. Europe might always be #1, but we're long past the age when little European states could fuck up entire sub-continents.

In the 1500s China was by far more advanced and powerful than any other country oh the planet.

yet they got destroyed by bunch of horse riders

Has anyone ever compared the geographies of Western Europe, India and China?

Western Europe has an uninterrupted lowland coastline stretching from southern France all the way up to Denmark, and was just a channel away from England. The coastline as well as southern England has numerous major rivers that facilitated dense settlements, and not only that - these settlements had few to no natural barriers between each other, which contributed to various forms of exchange, material and cultural.
They also provided a link to the deeper continental regions bordering the Alps, which were rich in resources such as coal. And of course, the coast provided uninterrupted access to the Atlantic and the international waters.
Another crucial point is that Western Europe had oceanic climate, which is characterized by moderate summers and winters, with small annual fluctuations in temperature.

It took time for these regions to be inhabited, as they were largely sparsely populated until the High Middle Ages.
But in time. all these factors together contributed to the creation of a vibrant, densely populated region in which exchange of ideas, goods and various forms of civilizational advancement could circulate without disruption. There is a reason that all the great minds of the Enlightenment, the Scientific Revolution and the Industrial Revolution were French, German, English, Dutch, Danish. Access to the Atlantic contributed to exploration, shipbuilding, trade, transport, colonialism and expansion etc. Plentiful and conveniently placed natural resources catalyzed industrialization.

India and China were less fortunate when it comes to geography, and equally importantly - climate.
India has a tropical climate with a divisive, elevated topography, while the Chinese Central Plain and coast were lacking when compared to the Western European ones. Chinese climate is variable, and natural disasters were quite common.

Bullshit all around. Europe excelled because of the evolution of inclusive political and economic institutions.

Cont.
The Indian coast is very "slim", and most of the population is settled in the continental part along the northern valley. Mountainous terrain, deserts, a tropical climate, common natural disasters.
China is 70% hills, mountains and deserts. Their access to the oceans was also limited by east asian/pacific geography. Think Japanese pirates, or Wokou. Floods and famines were common to the degree they had a central place in Chinese mythology and culture. Mongol Invasions set them behind for a long time.

Can you tell me what geographic differences there are that caused the divergence of West and East Germany?

...

How is this Veeky Forums related?

Difference in climate is one perhaps. The Rhine valley has oceanic climate, which has moderate summers and winters, while eastern Germany has continental climate.
Western Germany has the Rhine river, which is a major river whose environment is packed with natural resources. It is also one of the most densely populated regions on the planet.
Eastern Germany lacks these robust advantages of the West.

China has some of the best geography in the world to support human civilization. They also have rice, which is vastly superior to wheat in terms of calorie output per acre. What geographic differences separate the ROC and the PRC? Or North and South Korea? Why is the latterm more prosperous that'll the former? Institutions you idiot

t. brainlet.

So why was prussia the dominant force before WW1 in Germany?

>They also have rice, which is vastly superior to wheat in terms of calorie output per acre.

Rice is shit. Asian had wheat for a lot of their food (durum I think) if they had onyl rice they'd have been worse off.

Christian thinking and roman progress

>What geographic differences separate the ROC and the PRC?
Are you retarded?
>Institutions you idiot
And what influenced which institutions were developed? It sure as fuck wasn't and arbitrary roll of dice.
I understand that it's very complex and that there are a hundred of variables that were just due to less fatalistic chance, such as the Stalinist regime in North Korea, I never claimed that geography was destiny. Just tried to explain that it did have major contribution.

Actually that is an interesting counter-example. Never thought about it. I'll look into it later.
