I do lmao1.5 pl8(i just switched to front squats pls dont jusge me) with crossed arms easily.
The key is to keep your elbows high and your core tight. The reason it probably fails for you is because you dont have the core strength.
With a clean grip you really shouldnt be using your wrists that much. You still use your core just like when you cross your arms.

It probably wont be much different for your legs than squatting a 300 lb barbell.
Core activation will ge different but your core would still be utilized.

You're not supposed to feel outright pain. If you do, you did something wrong.

DOMS are different, but you shouldn't feel those anymore after a few workouts.

Because i can squat 180kg x5 on backsquats. I can barely do 120 front. They kill my core and i have trouble breathing when going heavy

Front squats hit pretty much all the same muscles as back squats, with a lower weight.

If you're squatting correctly, you should be able to front squat 85kg (i.e. 85% of your back squat) without issue. If you can't, there's something wrong with your squat technique and you should be dropping the weight down a bit or doing front/zercher squats to improve it.
