1 pl8 after 5 months lifting, 2 of which on a cut and another two with horribleass form squatmornings. In 3 months I got up to 75kg but did a big deload to tighten up my form. Probably need to go up in weight but I've been autistic as fuck about getting perfect form after bruising my rib repeatedly when I had bad form. It wasn't until my 5th month that I realized that I was exhaling completely in the hole and where my feet need to be when I'm doing highbar.

You must be 18 or over to post on Veeky Forums, child. Or at least exercise some modicum of intelligence in your posts.

Being banned only stops the weak

80 kg, been training for a year, BP 5x4 85 kg, DL 5x4 110 kg and squat 5x4 70 kg. I'm doing only DL and squats for quads, twice a week. What am I doing wrong?

What do you exactly mean? A lot of people I know are doing only this for legs and the have at least double of what I lift. And I'm riding shitload on bike, famalam

idk man something must be up with your form on squats, definitely shouldnt be below bench with that DL atleast

This is me I can only speak from my experience but all I ever do is squat. Never leg press, never do lunges or anything of the sort, just squat.
I don't often go above sets of 5.

I just pick a program that has me progressing weekly and I stick to it. It's that simple. Don't make your own program.

If you can't progress weekly then try a new program.

Stayed away from squats (and deads) for a long time because herniated disc in lower back. I intend to test my 1RM in a couple of weeks, expecting to do 170kg. Current 1RM is 150kg, it's been a couple months though but I feel much stronger now.

training for 5 months consistently, before that doing sporadic brosplit now and then.

question: when did you find it necessary to start using a belt for squatting? I haven't been using one and have been doing fine, making consistent gains as per 5x5 (I know I know). How will I know that I need to start using a belt?

I just started two weeks ago and had to do a 1 rep max test in the gym this week after spending the first week focusing on form.

Weight 88kg
Squat 117.5kg

I can't wait to get stronger.

I use a belt when the weight gets near my 1RM, or I can tell I'm tired and my form is starting to go
If you're doing it right, you shouldn't NEED a belt for sets of 5

If you're worried about your technique slipping because the weight is heavy, put on a belt or deload until you can nail that weight
