What...does your heart beat faster?

I had a panic attack 2 days ago and now my heart speeds up everytime I exercise slightly

Future zyzz confirmed.

If your palpitations are so bad that they interfere with your exercise even on minimal exertion, see a doctor. You may have an undiagnosed heart defect. I'm fucking serious.

You're not on EC stack are you? That's the only time I had an issue with this.

talk to a fucking doctor

What is this heart palpatation? Is it like a sudden rush you feel in your heart for a second or few seconds and can't breathe but after a few more seconds it becomes normal again, because I have had that happen to me before and I have never really excersized all that hard(I am only in the lurking stage right now). Should I be worried?

The cant breath thing is similar to what i have. Except, i CAN actually breath, it just feels like i cant. Im pretty sure its your heart skipping a beat.

I got diagnosed with Heart Arrhythmia last year, its pretty common. Look it up and see if it seems familiar.

Yep, that sounds just like what I have experienced - it feels like my heart has stopped and I just instinctively gasp for air (trough nose) and I am ok again. then I spend a minute wondering what the fuck happened. Is this a possible worry if I am planning to start actively exercising?

All you imbeciles are drinking too much caffeine or not having enough potassium and water.

Stop drinking soda, juices, and coffee. I know everyone in this thread is drinking them based on the fact that nobody has mentioned them yet. You're all so uneducated it's insane.

Also, stop eating fried food. It causes inflammation.

>heart skipping a beat
Extra-systole is benign per se in the vast majority of cases.

3xF go to the doctor

I just checked my heart rate and it's 60bps. Which is normal. I still have this uncomfortable awareness of my heart beat doe

Should be BPM my mistake

Ruffier - Dickson test (does not substitute medical advice anyway obviously)

1) lie down for a minute, count your heart beat at rest ( p0 )
2) stand up and perform exactly 30 bodyweight full squats in exactly 45 seconds. Arms outstretched. That's 1 squat every 0.666 seconds. You can use a phone app, an alarm or anything similar. Count your heart beat immediately afterwards ( p1 )
3) After one minute measure again your heart beats ( p2 )

Then, using the following formula
I = ((p1 - 70) + 2*(p2 - p0)) / 10
if I < 2 then it's good
if I > 7 (and you usually hit the gym) don't wait any more before contacting a doctor

>That's 1 squat every 0.666 seconds
oopsies, I meant: 1 squat every 1.5 seconds

Thing is my heart was perfectly healthy up to 2 days ago.

this is acid reflux(also called heartburn), it just does not reach your mouth so you don't realize it comes from your stomach. When there is stuff in your esophagus air has a hard time getting trough. It often causes retro-sternal pain that is easily misinterpreted by the patient.
Since you are just starting cardio I assume you are on the heavy side, fat people have a higher chance to suffer from acid reflux.

is partially right, try reducing caffeine , fatty foods and other foods that may increase stomach acids. also try eating small meals a few times a day instead of 2(--3) big meals. If its really bad you can use a PPI.

he knows what's up.

I'm not op.
Caffeine does this to me. I no longer drink coffee or caffeinated drinks in the late afternoon or evening and restrict it during the day. It fucks me up. Now, I don't like Coke because of the sugar, but Cherry Pepsi Max I used to drink a lot of, until I realised it was that which was fucking me up at night. Coke zero has less caffeine, it just tastes like shit, but still have to drink less.

Go look at this site: caffeineinformer.com/caffeine-content/uk-pepsi-max

i guess op left

Nah I'm here

Just go to the Doctor, the only thing you should take from this thread is that you should go to the Dr. Brule, get a EKG, and ask for a full 24hr monitor and do some exercise. Get readings, if it still persists request an echocardiogram to check structure. Fuck, why even bother asking here. JUST DO IT.

wana bet its reflux?
He will give you an expensive ecg first an then hopefully tell you its reflux and give gou a ppi's or a diet.

>expensive
America, everyone.
When normal fucks are worried to go to a doctor because they will jewed out.
Better ask on a korean origami appreciation board, right.

>thing is
that you didn't even bother to attempt the test.

op if you're still here, you may want to read this.

Now i'm not saying this is definitely happing to you however I thought I may as well share...

Around 1 year + 1/2 ago my heart felt weird, so I went to the doctor (Had palpitations). He did ekg and it showed up the skipped beat. He said that everything was fine, so I went on with my days. A few months later I get a weird feeling in my heart, and pain at certain angles that I sit at. I went to another doctor, they did an ekg. They said it was nothing to worry about. I wasn't happy so they refered me to a specialist.

Final verdict was that I had an enlarged heart (not the good kind). Something about my left ventricle being thick and other parts not functioning properly.

Its been 8 months since i've gymmed and it will be at least another 4 before I can gym. Or it may never fully recover.

Enlighten us on how friend food causes inflammation. I prefer randomized double blind cross over studies. PharmPhag here. I'll wait.

This thread is giving me anxiety, I'm out.

Scary story but I very much doubt I as a healthy, lean 18 year old has an enlarged heart

I'm not him. Unhealthy rise of cholesterol will cause inflammation.

I'm not going to bother you with the details because you clearly chose a meme degree instead of medicine

Just know for the next time you wanna look edgy you might wanna bother taking a course in fisiopathology, assuming your third world country (probably usa) offers anything like that

I was 18 when I was diagnosed bro.

cause? high blood pressure? obesity? Cardiac disease?

>pharmacy student

Veeky Forums - Licensed Doctors

But really, go see a doctor about any medical issues that can immediately threaten your life. Any advice us random people on the internet can throw at you will be marginally helpful by way of placebo effect at best, and will exacerbate your condition so that your death will be drastically expedited at worst.

Its very hard to diagnose what caused it. But gymming didnt help (aided the enlargement). Not obesity lol

That happens when you use roids user
