Also because I love you guys (no homo) here is my favorite way to prepare broccoli, I make it into soup.

Throw a lot of broccoli, boiling water, some cashews and a tbsp of olive oil with salt and pepper, blend until smooth and creamy, literally that's it and it tastes fucking good.

It's impossible to get all the nutrients out eating veggies raw. At least steam it for 4 minutes.

get a bamboo (or other kind) of steamer.
wash broccoli and chop into florets.
salt liberally!! (don't worry, most of the salt will fall off)
steam for 6 minutes.
