Why are the japanese so fascinated with the Yamato? It was completly useless and it didn't accomplish anything during the war.

Goes for all battleships. It's the phallic shape and huge size, low test males love it.

The Littorio Class was far better desu

sounds like japan in general

It was big. Yes, it's that simple.

Japanese autism at it's finest
>HEY HIROSHI WHY DON'T WE BUILD A LARGE BATTLESHIP THAT WOULD PROBABLY EAT UP OUR RESOURCES
>HEY YAMAGI WHY DON'T WE BUILD AIRCRAFT CARRYING SUBMARINES THAT WE WOULD USE TO ATTACK THE WEST COAST

>AIRCRAFT CARRYING SUBMARINES

Was that really a thing?

sorry Luigi, but if I want a 35,000 ton European battleship I'm getting a Richelieu, not a pasta catapult

>disliking battleships

compenation

wouldn't the planes get wet?

Big girls are cute.

It's basically WW2 era gundam.

No
They'd remove the wings of the plane and put it inside it's hangar.
They'll only fly when the submarine surfaces and they were given the go signal

Kongou~~

Not if they're sea-to-air planes

Kuffar

Granny.

They are cool and awesome, but still completely useless and wasteful of resources.

it's a big ship

Battleships were kinda ok in the Atlantic. The Scharnhorst and the Gneisenau actually took out a Carrier with their main batteries.

This. As long as you have enough bases close enough to cover the airspace, carriers are less vittal than in the Pacific

Wouldn't the floor being wet be extremely dangerous?
