But i don't think that before Mehmets conquest that Constantinople was complete ruin, like yeah a lot of big buildings were somewhat of a ruin especially the palace, but the city had 2 and a half century to rebuild main parts of the city and develop some good infrastructure and homes at least by 14th century.
