>Lack of Money

because you won't stop shitposting on this board

It's not hard to make Vegan meals. A bowl oatmeal and a large veggie/fruit shake with some nuts for breakfest is delicious. For lunch cut up some veggies quick throw them in a pan, put some rice on and make a stir fry, and for dinner have some whole wheat pasta with tomato sauce and beans/chickpeas, or in advance make bulk soup and eat the soup with a sandwich. Vegan is easy and delicious. You are a lazy faggot and you just don't have the motivation to clean up your diet and I can see from your point of view, if I was a worthless meat eating animal killing and raping cunt, I wouldn't care about myself either. Enjoy heart disease and cancer at 40. You deserve it.

>Lack of Money
It is a myth that vegan is expensive, it's actually cheaper. Most people assume you need to buy fake milk or fake meat, which would make it more expensive, but that's completely unnecessary.

Those are some pretty big implications. Site some verifiable sources or eat your certified vegan shit and die.

>vegan

Goodbye gains ;')

I like pussy, so I don't really appreciate taking dicks up my ass. Fuck off.

bowl of tofu, vegies, rice and whatever sauce costs me like 5 dollars and takes 7 minutes to cook.
50g protein,35g carbs and 25g of fat and its just a meal for after gym.

So how do I get on the elephant-eat-9-times-my-bodyweight-in-leaves diet?

Literally every vegan I've met looks aged, pale, sickly and lethargic and zealously tries to convince me about how great they feel. I don't understand.

because I love milk products too much

What is the point of your life?

Is it already time for the daily shitpost general?
Friendly reminder that the only feasible reason to be vegan is if you like animals a lot. This is an emotional reason, if someone else does not feel it you will get no where arguing with them.
Also friendly reminder that you're posting on the fitness board of a Canadian table enthusiasts forum and that any of the ill effects of eating animal products can be mitigated by working out regularly , which you should assume everyone here is doing.
Third friendly reminder that this will inevitably degenerate into name-calling and shit fits so try your hardest to not look retarded when you're arguing

While you're here dancing around in your frilly pants, where do you get your vegetables from?

I can see your defenses rising already.

If you get it from any large supermarket or store who buys dickloads of vegies at a time, they get it from a mass producer who produces vegies the easiest and quickest way known to man.

A fertiliser known as BLOOD AND BONE.

Guess what that is.

You precious vegetables use ANIMAL PRODUCT just to exist. Therefore not vegan.

Finally a /veggen/.

Does anyone have any good YouTube channels for vegan recipes? I'm not vegan per se, but avoid meat as much as I can, and I'm dairy-free (which I consider worse than eating meat). I still consume honey and eggs (don't really consider the latter to be 'dairy').

> (1) youtube.com/channel/UCLCMsmlhZM8qzTomi7zAkKw/videos

I find a lot of her food to look really appetising, but she tends to use a lot of ingredients that seem hard to come by, and can be particularly expensive if having to source them from an unusual place, e.g. cacao nibs, buckinis, pepitas, hemp seeds, and incaberries (e.g. look at her second muesli bowl video).

> (2) youtube.com/watch?v=QKZnQ-Hot80

This guy's videos are usually pretty awesome, but there's just this one I found for 7 vegan recipes.

> (3) youtube.com/user/thevegancorner/videos

Helpful and well-made videos, but attempted a creamy mushroom sauce pasta and it didn't turn out well. However, to be fair, I didn't follow the recipe exactly - I tried using hemp milk instead of 'vegan cream'.

> (4) youtube.com/watch?v=4jEeqjPg0xA

These vegan brownies are amazing. I've never baked before in my life (embarrassing, I know) but made these twice and they turned out amazing. I eat them over the space of about 5 days (because it has sweet potato in, it doesn't last as long as typical brownies, plus they don't have preservatives in them).

Instead of steaming, I usually microwave them until they're soft enough (sometimes takes about 10 minutes and I take it out every so often to check with a toothpick if they're soft enough). Also, I use cocoa powder instead of cacao because cacao powder is expensive as fuck. Nor do I use 'gluten-free' flour/buckwheat, as there's not much point (I add some baking powder to it, but not much). I added a little bit of peanut butter to mine too.

They're softer than normal brownies, but so good.

Excuse the double '[Embed]'. I deleted my original post and reposted it to improve the format.

daily reminder that the necrovores must see this savage video before opening their mouth with an anti-vegan "argument"

youtube.com/watch?v=ueqDkY3aNAY

No one against vegans is gonna watch that shit senpai. Thats why no one responds to it

You don't have to be an animal lover to see that they don't deserve what we put them through, and you'd have to be an idiot to not see that animal agriculture is destroying the environment. Veganism is making a positive difference.

Oh well, better start eating meat again.
Seriously, what is wrong with you faggots just trying to get people who are trying to do something good, down? Even so, buying vegetables that used animal products doesn't support an industry of cruelty, they only use it as a bi product of the meat industry, and would use something else if it were to go away.

>by product

Veal is a by product of milk farming. I'm only going to eat veal now because then I'm not supporting the industry

False equivocacy. Buying dead babies is obviously supporting the industry that kills them, and obviously incentivises the industry to rape more dairy cows to make more calves to kill. The animal based fertiliser is an after thought of the industry and buying vegetables isn't keeping it alive.

But you can bet your money (which you are) that it still puts money into their pockets

If it was up to me I would live near a farm and source all my animal based food from them directly. That reality isn't available to me. At least not right now. So mass produced meat is the only meat I have access too

Currently not supporting the egg industry but it's a bit harder to get milk based produce without mass production

Because I'm weak. Meat just tastes so good brah, and it's hard to let go. Making a vegan meal super flavorful takes a bit more effort it seems. Plus I'm not fully convinced that going full vegan is the only solution for being healthy, but I do believe I need to significantly decrease my meat intake.

we finally got a containment thread thank the lord

If you don't pay attention to what you eat while vegan its easy to lose your gains but as long as you do some reading about it and make sure to eat high-protein vegan food everyday its easy to gain muscle especially if you also take additional protein supplements/shakes.

If you do that your gains will seem bigger and your muscles will look way more defined because you will be gaining muscle while simultaneously losing much of the the body fat that obscures muscle definition.

>Friendly reminder that the only feasible reason to be vegan is if you like animals a lot.
Or if you want to be healthier and have a lower chance of developing several serious illness such as cancer and others.

The reason I say that only animal loving is a feasible (if hard to argue) argument for veganism is:
1) Any arguments about the health benefits of veganism can be easily applied to a regular omnivorous diet. Soy is super good for you? Add more soy. Red meat is bad? Eat less. There's no reason cut them off entirely as long as your are able (and as an adult you should be able ) to operate in moderation.

>But user, don't you want to be as healthy as possible?

2)Like I already said, regular exercise mitigates a lot of the risks, but I counter by asking do you drink? Smoke? Drugs occasionally? If so then you already understand the "carnist" mentality. No one's denying that eating animal products can potentially lead to health problems, they're just accepting the risk because that's their decision. I KNOW already that alcohol is bad for me, but I drink it because I like drinking it and the same is true with animal products. I will keep eating them because I like to. I'm simply accepting or actively counteracting the maluses because that's the choice I make.

TL;DR As long as you can balance your diet, there's no reason to go entirely vegan especially since most of us already accept that there's risks involved with eating meat, we just don't care or we work to make up for it

As for the whole animal loving point of view, and I hate to sound like a cold hearted jackass, I just don't care. Animals aren't people and my personal belief is that you can't apply the same "rules" to them because of it. Since this is entirely subjective and changes from person to person it is valid for each individual but impossible to build an argument from

>I just don't care. Animals aren't people
i just don't care, jews are not real people
i just don't care, black are not real people ... etc

it doesn't matter what you think, what matters morally is that animals have a cerebral cortex that process pain and suffering like human's cerebral cortex. if it's not necessary to eat them, then it's wrong to kill them. period. wether you like it or not, that's the opinion that will dominate going forward.

>there's no reason to go entirely vegan

what about the environment ? what about meat being a risk factor for the top deaths ?
meat is officially considered a group 1 and 2 carcinogen, just like cigarets you can't say i'm not gonna go cigarets free, i'll just reduce my intake, no you throw that in the garbage and avoid it like the pleague.

every meal, i'm going to eat three pieces of meat. one for me, one for you, and one to offset the balance. i will do this until you post proof that you are no longer vegan. DO IT or you will effectively be causing more "murder" than you think you are preventing. If you stand by your supposed morals you will comply woth my demands immediately.

>that's the opinion that will dominate going forward.
No it won't, that's speculation based on what you percieve to be the majority (vegans) which are not the most prominent view on the world rn.

As to the rest, thanks for ignoring everything I've said about emotional arguments and also equating Jews to animals. I've already said I don't care because livestock animals and you can't argue like morals are facts.
I'll give you that the environment reason irspretty good, but the meat and dairy industry can change to be better while continuing to exist.
Finally meat hasn't been PROVEN to be carcinogenic, there are some studies that say there COULD be a link and even so you, in bringing this and cigarettes up, are ignoring that I said people are free to balance the risks as they please. Meat isn't cigarettes, it isn't a literal death sentence to eat it, it's just unhealthy. If you aknowledge that it's unhealthy and take steps to account for this (like regular exercise and a properly balanced diet) you can live a long happy healthy life while enjoying animal products

fertilizer is just one part of it. The displace animals when they make farm land. The combines that pick up the crops don't stop to let little squirrels pass by, it just chews them up. You're not trying to do something good, you're unintentionally doing something retarded because of false guilt.

>what about the environment ?
a vegan diet is just as bad for the environment. You'll be swapping one type of mass farming for another. Vegans love to believe growing crops is green and easy on the planet and ecosystem when it does just as much damage as cows.
>what about meat being a risk factor for the top deaths ? meat is officially considered a group 1 and 2 carcinogen, just like cigarets you can't say i'm not gonna go cigarets free, i'll just reduce my intake, no you throw that in the garbage and avoid it like the pleague.
It's cute that you're comparing meat to cigs. No big deal that you left out the term "processed" to try to make your argument work.

I don't want to be green skinned

>Why haven't you gone vegan Veeky Forums?
I like hunting and eating vension too much, I'll risk the health issues. Thx for your concern though.

>a vegan diet is just as bad for the environment. You'll be swapping one type of mass farming for another. Vegans love to believe growing crops is green and easy on the planet and ecosystem when it does just as much damage as cows.

things that was pulled out of this user's ass, but that's wrong you fucking retard !

Ok legit questions for any real vegans in this thread

What macro split is best 20/20/60 seems to be the most popular but I'm not sure which to start with

For any non-American vegans what protein sources do you use besides tofu? I struggle to hit my protein without going over my carbs because most vegan protein sources also have insanely high carbs

>that's speculation based on what you percieve to be the majority
that's a speculation based on the exponential growth of vegan impact shown in pic related. and a projection of human history changes on justice issues.
>I don't care about livestock animals
i said, your opinion is irrelevant, like a cannibal's opinion on eating humans, he don't care about them like you don't care about the animals.

like history has proven, no unjustice lasts forever, there are innocent creatures who face unnecessary pain and suffering, history and current data on public opinion on it show that this practice will look barbaric going forward in time.

I did veganism for 6 years. you only lose weight because 1) you can't consume most processed or baked goods 2) very little options for eating out. Anyone can do those things without going meatless and accomplish the same or better results.
I was stronger after I started eating meat again. I used to get winded and dizzy when I lifted as a vegan.

To clarify I say non Americans because most American vegans I are have a lot of mock meat products available with great macros and it seems to be their primary source of protein

>25g of fat
no thanks

mate i'm not a vegan myself but damn stop talking shit, agriculture killing the planet for real

>a vegan diet is just as bad for the environment.
im not even a vegan and thats bullshit

stop talking about stuff you dont know anything about

i call bullshit on this.
i'm vegan for 3 years and a half, and i now perform better in the gym because i'm not a carbophobe anymore.
carb the fuck up then hit the gym and see the difference.

whatever. I have no reason to lie

I'm enjoying these threads on fit they're encouraging but honestly they need to be less focused on taking pleb tier meat eater bait and more focused on helping out fellow vegan lifters, trading tips and recipes etc

Post pic

thats because you did it wrong

just because you were a vegan does not mean you ate the right things to maintain

because I want to personally round up and gas all vegans

vegans are always trying to disprove everyone else's experiences. veganism is nothing but hype and in the long run it isn't worth it, get over it.

No, veganism is here to stay and spread, deal with it faggot

Definitely going vegetarian (no eggs though) after finishing college. Things like chickpeas, black beans, dates, etc. aren't available where I live, but at least vegetables are cheap, even though it's a third world country.

>third world country
>legumes aren't available

the fuck you live?

>everybody except a few skelly faggots eats meat
>must've missed it in the news today wwjere everybody instantly died from cancer

jeaus christ you are a fuk

Any good youtube channels focusing on vegan bodybuilding? Thanks.

In a third world European country. Some legumes are not available and some of them are so ridiculously expensive and that's the main problem here. Things like milk alternatives are really overpriced, tofu isn't available, mangoes are overpriced, kale is hard to find, Ezekiel bread isn't even a thing here, many spices aren't available, etc. It's bad, I know and I'm really trying to move out of the country as soon as possible.

>not aware of the increasing burdens of disease and disability plaguing the world

>implying so fucking much
I'll admit that I'm not exactly sure what your image is depicting, but unless it's something exceptionally different than some fuck and some plants in not sure what that's proving.

I'll also say that your flippant disregard for the way the real world thinks (outside of a select few communities in a select few areas of the world) is cute at best but concerningly disconnected at worst. Do you honestly believe the end result of people being upset with farming/slaughterhouse ethics of going to be the end of meat and dairy consumption? That's not even rhetorical, I'm actually asking if that's what you believe since your posts are implying that. If so, you seriously need to get a grip. People aren't going to shake off THOUSANDS of years of culture (and yes diet is a large part of culture) on a whim. If people get fed up with (and I'll even help you by saying I don't like some farming practices and buy grass fed free range etc. when I can) barbaric farming practices, all they'll want changed is the methodology not the end result. Unless a cow starts talking TOMORROW people won't view animals, ESPECIALLY livestock animals, on the same level as them the world over. Want to hear something sad? Vegan eating will not become the majority, ever, and will not save any animal, ever. I'm not even saying that because I want to. I like the idea of alternative diet options, but that's all it'll ever be-- an alternative. At some point you also have to realize that all the animals raised for meat are dead the day they're born too. Like dogs we have cultured all our livestock to suit our needs and that is the most meat for the least effort. They only EXIST because we want to eat them. If we entertain your idea that the "glorious vegan animal rights revolution" happens do you know what would also happen? Cows, pigs, chickens, domestic turkeys all of those animals go extinct because the only reason anyone gives half a shit about them right now is to eat

Furthermore, up want people to take you seriously stop shitting this place up with your smug false sense of moral superiority and start having threads like suggests because veganism is an interesting topic once you take out the whole Jehovah's witness fuckface aspect of it

This is literally vegan arguments. Elephants have a way different digestion system then humans. Also elephants travel anywhere from 25-50 miles in the wild and eat 10-18 pounds of grass (etc) a day. They also drink around 50 gallons of water a day. Go fuck yourself gains goblin

lol nah user, My cousins are both vegan and my aunt pretty much pays for their food. They spend so much fucking money at whole foods on vegan gluten free shit its crazy.
Also, For the fucks of it I went to a vegan restaurant with them once. The three of us spent fucking 120$ on mediocre food that didn't even fill me up nor taste good.

If you're a normie who doesn't lift, sure. If you want to bulk on a vegan diet, you will quickly find yourself out of pocket. Fresh vegetable/vegan-friendly produce may be "cheap" but not when you're eating 3,000+ calories of it a day.

>they don't deserve what we put them through
If all sources of food were, at some point, sentient then would you refuse to eat food? Animals live and die, in the wild or in factories/slaughterhouses.

>destroying the environment
I ain't some middle class yuppie. I can't afford a clean eating diet where all of my produce is organic. I'm a 24 year old male living by himself in a house I'm paying a mortgage on. I eat frozen produce because the farmer who raises 5 chickens in an environmentally friendly manner wants 3 times as much for his meat. Until what vegans class as unethical animal treatment becomes literally against the law, your average Joe like me can't afford to cut the environment/animal suffering some slack unless I want a significant portion of my income to be spent on food because the people who produce it have no incentive to improve.

Yes, in an ideal world there would be better conditions, but the best people to preach to about this who can make a change aren't found on a Singaporean rice paper inspection forum such as this.

I've decided for myself that it's morally acceptable to eat some animal products but not all - hence I am a vegetarian.

>Other people's diets are their business imo.

Not when it involves others

A roiding fat manlet that is absolutely terrible at the sport he competes is all ya got?

I've known a good number of vegans and vegetarians and maybe 1 out of 10 actually gave a crap about what other people choose to eat.

You're just perpetuating the stereotype that people who make those decisions for themselves are preachy and annoying about it. That, or maybe you're just trolling to spread the meme yourself.

>necrovore
>same shit hour long video
I remember you from the same thread yesterday. Since I know you're a little retarded now I'll try to write clearly.

I know you're reading comprehension isn't great but try to follow. In my post I am NOT justifying being or not being vegan. What I was saying, if you reread, is that in the REAL world dealing with REAL people you will arrive at the conclusions I described. Arguing the validity of a theory or philosophy does not matter in the real world. Logic, often, does not matter in the real world. Real people are flawed and human and often bend to their emotions. I'm not sure where I appealed to nature, and I did mention tradition, but these fallacies are not a discredit to what my post of talking about. In fact they benefit my point since most people are stupid enough to argue with them and be their thinking on them. Does that make them correct? No. What it does make them though, is incredibly stubborn to a radical idea like your proposing.
Keeping that in mind, let me reiterate my point for you: veganism won't save animals and won't become the majority diet because people will not let it. It's current existence as a fringe (but becoming not common) alternative diet is where it will remain because REAL people don't want it to become the main diet. Farming and slaughter will continue because people in the real world want meat and dairy. Once you leave an argument on an online forum and even more so leave whatever small clique of people got you so crazy that your still spouting off about necrovores, you will see that this is the unfortunate reality and it will not foreseeably change
