Bicep tendon and something in my RC. Can't lift weights with left shoulder if I want it to get better asap. I'm just trying to figure out a leg routine that I can do that doesn't involve my upper body, so I'm learning to use machines and find a lot of people (youtube) recommend leg extensions in their routines. My leg strength may go down a bit, but there's no way I cannot lift for 6 weeks, I'd go mad.

and yes I get more gains from it, to a point. Last cycle I pushed my deadlift too hard and paid for it. I have to have the inflation so each session is challenging, but I have to do every rep to a 9/10 standard

I have so many workouts where I am just not ... hyped, not confident, not trusting in my form, etc.
Even with sub maximal weights I just have many days where my head isn't into it, even though my life isn't really stressing.

And on those days I tend to be weak, miss grooving and little energetic.

Whar can one do to develop a better mentality? Is such a thing possible?

Tbh I just do it hand-tight for the majority of training and crank this piss out of it for anything where I'm planning to go RPE 9-10. And it's not really supposed to be comfortable, it will pinch and bruise if you're A) a bit fat and B) doing it right.

Rep three is like a second attempt level grinder and rep four is a like a 'do or die' shitpile where my back comes apart and lockout is totally uneven.
