There are a lot of negatives: the homeless are fucking annoying, some people can be very competitive academically, some people take it way too far with the politics shit like they went to Cal specifically to protest random bullshit, the administration doesn't give a fuck about the students, and the grade curves for some of my classes are seriously sadistic

But I wouldn't choose any other school over it. There's lots of things to do in the area, lots of cool interesting people (it's a campus of 35,000 there are bound to be people you like), the professors are excellent, the SJW bullshit is pretty easy to avoid

Maybe I'd be just as happy at another UC like UCLA or Davis, but I love this school. Not sure if it's Stockholm Syndrome or what, but I think it was 100% worth it.

Western Washington University, a pretty middle-of-the-road school by most measures but we have one of the best kinesiology programmes in the country which is cool. Means we have an incredible uni gym and the employees are real knowledgeable.

Then again being a mid-sized state school means a lot of the people here are kinda fuck-ups and by extension often unfit too.

Gonna try and transfer, but boy will I miss that beautiful rec centre...
