Squats are by far the easiest lift to progress in. At your stage, you could just squat 3x per week and get up to 3plate for reps in a matter of two or so months.

Eat properly, use proper form, squat three times a week and you can actually progress linearly up to atleast 275x5 in that time. With good genetics, I don't think 3plate is out of the question.

You should do squats because having chicken legs on a muscular upper body looks retarded.
