Machines are shit for later on. Isosation gives your muscles a chance to get used to straining, minimizing soreness. After a few weeks it's better to move on to compounds and you won't kill yourself as much.

I only get sore if i take a break and even then it only lasts for a short while after the first workout but im still pushing babbyweight so that might be it.
