What are your hobbies Veeky Forums?

Being autistic.

i play hockey, mountain biking, walking my dog, working on my garden, reading, programming, golfing

there's a whole world out there user, working out only takes about an hour and a half what are you doing the rest of the time?

Study, lurk, eat, sleep, lift.

>So user, what are your hobbies?
>Uhm...i-i walk my dog

grills love dogs and going on dog walks

i ride around like an idiot on my motorbike, play guitars with my friend in pubs, catch up with friends, watch movies, travel a bit, snowboard sometimes and generally lead a degenerate drug fueled youthful lifestyle. just recently realized i am addicted to cigarettes, yay.

guitar, classic and electric
fashion
shitposting
lifting
consuming media

thats it really.

soccer
reading
films

Tennis, guitar, lifting, running, cooking.

it's not a hobby though

I'm really into breathing and eating and trying to pass on my seed.

I am vegetating.

i spend an hour on it every week day, 2 hrs on saturdays at different parks around my city. I guess I could have said walking, would that help your autism?

Occultism
Programming
Vidya
NEET shit

usually at least one of these is enough to get people off of my back, though the obsession people have with accumulating hobbies is incredibly pointless and I'm tired of it.

>Making music
>Gaming
>Lifting
>Following politics (not sure if this is considered a hobby or not but whatever)

Basically that's it, pretty sad I guess.

Art, vidya, reading, investing . Not much to write home about.

I read somewhere that everybody should have at least 3 hobbies: one to help you relax, one to keep in shape, and one that earns you some extra money. I think that's a decent set of goals for most people.

If I wanted to get into programming (basically self teach) What language would you recommend?

Lifting, reading comics, and spending qt with my wife and daughter

python probably decent for learning and gets you into making actual things right away

Boring ass full time student here. Can't wait to start working. Do these count as hobbies?
Browsing vietnamese basket weaving website

Lifting
Manga

Reviewing olive oils? What else?

programming and playing chess
just find what you want to do in life they said
friends and relationships will follow automatically they said

>tfw too autistic for any socially advanced hobbies

I've always wanted to do investment. Fuck who doesn't want money. Mind sharing good books/resource when you started out user?

How long have you been and what gear do you use?

Tennis

Tennis is a combination of boxing and chess. Stick and move, stick and move, with carefully planned trigonometry occurring in about a second and a half worth of time. It is essentially calculus in motion, the successful tennis player must become a polymath first, able to visualize the infinite number of trajectories his ball may take when making contact with the racket and plan and account for the the trajectory and sped with which his opponent may return it and then his reaction to this and so on and so forth (each possibility becoming t to the power of n with t representing the initial strike and n representing the number of reactions the opponent may take to this strike, and so on and so forth growing at an exponential rate). Second he must be an athlete, ready for constant movement interspersed with bursts of speed and lighting reaction times. Third, a tennis player must be an artist, for to the truly great player the court exists as a canvas or amphitheater and his racket exists as a paint brush or conductors baton. He must move his instrument with the grace of Divinci or Raphael and his body with the supple grace of a dancer, yet none of his strokes can be planned ahead of time, none of his pirouettes come choreographed; he must plan his art split second to split second as he moves, flinging paint like Pollock yet landing with the precision of Michelangelo.

Tennis' beauty’s infinite roots are self-competitive. You compete with your own limits to transcend the self in imagination and execution. Disappear inside the game: break through limits: transcend: improve: win.

It is a deeply religious and metaphysical experience, more intimate than sex yet absolutely solitary at the same time. You are dancing an intimate tango with your partner while at the same time experiencing a very private zen like meditation.

i just say everything that i did at some point in the past regardless of if i still do it or not

>uh, sailing, skiing, guitar, hiking

Muay Thai. I'm gonna start bjj this next semester though. I recommend it. People look at you like a monster if youve got some side and skills. Its nice m8.

>adventuring
what does this even mean?
You visit starbucks in other cities?

Most people use this as a catchall for doing outdoorsy shit. The boring ones use it as a way to say I don't literally plan every moment of my life and once every 6 months I do something spontaneous.

I play multiple instruments, enjoy cooking and hand carve things out of driftwood. All i do is lift but I have these things for back up if ever confronted with that question

things that you cant do without special equipment and isnt easily applicable to every day life
this is a bad idea
>oh a piano! play a song for us user
>no

Are you 13? Veeky Forums isn't some secret club no girls allowed. It's funny because no matter how much you autists sperg you can't do anything about who posts

>Cooking
>Trail riding
>Camping
>Drawing

What's so hard about this familia? You do put your muscles to use, right?

>mfw every college girl I've ever talked to "goes out with friends" and "wants to travel"
I just wan't to watch chinese cartoons, workout, and buy a house and do yardwork. Don't give the slightest fuck about traveling, seeing the world, having fun with friends, etc.

People are making the mistake of thinking this is the shit you do every day. Nah. People can surf once in their life and they will list surfing on their dating profile for the rest of their life.

Adventuring is exploring new territory, having new experiences and challenging one's self. Doing what you didn't expect to.

For me It can be longboarding, hiking, meeting new people, checking out an event or festival or hitting up a show for an artist I've not heard before.

It can also be packing up and leaving your normal life behind. One summer I hopped provinces and lived like a hippie for a bit. You learn so much when you leave your comfort zone. That's the adventure.

You don't get out much, do you?

School. Lifting. Banjo playing. Woodworking. Reading.
In that order.

>tfw Veeky Forums and /mu/

I have this issue too.
Liftan

Bikan

Wanting to /into/ music but shitposting and being tired from work eats into that

"adventuring" is killing fucking snakes with bare hands and anal raping bear babies. What you're doing is called "travelling" and "socializing" which is nothing more than anyone else does. They just don't feel special about it.

Since when is visiting a FESTIVAL a fucking "adventure"? It's literally just a huge cluster fuck of people consuming music while also taking drugs and having sex.

Guess my voluntary year working with strongly handicapped children and the week I spent with homeless people are an "adventure" then too?

for some reasons, women that are interested in me are really nice and comprehensiv when italk about it.

i just clearly say i used to be fat and look like shit, and i m still not happy wityh my body, and they seem okay with it, and encourage me.

>training
>porn
>watching people play videogames on youtube

Come at me girls

It means she is having sex with other guys while her bf is at work and the adventure part is whether he will come home to see it or not.

>watching people play videogames on youtube
why? never found the appeal of let's plays.

I'm sorry, did I trigger you?

>watching people play videogames on youtube
i do this shit, too. especially with survival horror and old games for obsolete gaming systems (dreamcast, n64, ps1)

allows you to tell whether a game is good or not, after you have once fallen for the new age of vidya marketing you get to be real careful

oh okay. Good thing I have a friend who knows pretty much everything about every game comig out so I don't have to worry about this.

>Gardening, playing the harmonica, biking, climbing, reading, being a memeber of a dark cult worshipping satan as our lord and master

While shitposting on a Cantonese extreme kayaking image forum is high on my priority list, I still make time for other things.

but that is kind of subjective
a video allows you to see what is actually happening

Running, Gaming, Going on a walk with my dog, Politics

Programming, playing guitar, cooking, reading, cycling, hiking, basketball, video games
>tfw I had a life before lifting and still do

>What are your hobbies Veeky Forums?
I read books.
I gather (usually)useless information and certs.

>Actually got my current job because I knew how to do all the shit they needed, without being qualified for the job.
>3 months in and I now do courses for long-time employees on how to do their job better

Also, I'm not only a walking trivia generator, I'm a fucking wikipedia.
My co-worker at my last job used to ask me about random, obscure shit every time I walked in the room if there was some newbie present. I answered on reflex and the newbie was always freaked out.

I can feign any hobby I can imagine.

But exercise is a fun hobby tho. My favourite days are those dedicated to exercise.

Bowhunting, poaching, moonshining, beer brewing, cooking, currently working my head around chainmail weaving and starting on a SCUBA course on Monday, looking to get a harpoon and go underwater fishing because I'm having shit luck with fishing from the surface, and I'm hoping to find a course to hop on so I can get my gun license. I suppose it doesn't count as a hobby, but I'm pretty enthusiastic about computers and shaving, but it's not like I can build computers or shave myself for a number of hours a day.

A word of advice, OP: Do what you WANT to do, don't do what you think might be a good conversation starter or what'll pull bitches.
And what's more, don't wait to do it. Don't be one of those miserable fucks who sit around thinking "I'll get time for a hobby when I'm done paying down on my loans/when I get a better job/when I get out of this relationship/when I find some other people who do it" because uf you keep postponing it, suddenly you'll be 80 and the only hobby you can pick up is trying your darndest to not shit yourself before the nurse shows up to take you to the crapper.

Mathematics, Canyoning, Hiking, Skateboarding, playing guitar/bass/singing, reading.

To a lesser extend, juggling, playing Kendama, drawing, and urban exploring.

God I hope nobody recognizes me cause I have very specifics hobbies so I'm sure if someone knows me they'll know who I am.

Is hiking a good hobby?

Hockey, long boarding, roller blading, cooking, gardening especially my mini cacti garden, drums/guitar/bass, 3 cats, walking in nature. If i'm not doing either of those, lifting, spending the day with gf, or at work I'm smoking pot shit posting on Veeky Forums.

i ride trains

>Mathematics
What are you reading right now? I'd also put that in my list of hobby but that's sort of my job already.

Lifting, playing lead guitar in a band, language acquisition, tango dancing.

>so user, what are you doing with your life this year?
I graduated two years ago and still have no job and no decent skills and just looking for some dead-end retail work
I'd learn programming but I'm very bad at any kind of math

Can I pick up martial arts if I'm a dyel? I'd do both the martial arts section and lifting, naturally
I'm worried that I don't have the basic muscle as the foundation to git gud at fighting.

These are also my hobbie somtimes after a hitting the clubs Ill go hiking and train riding across my country partlybecause I like it and partly because Im afraid of the shit my brain will throw at me if I go to sleep before I pass out from exasaution

thread is making me kinda depressed

2 of 4 are done at home in front of my computer and i spend most time shitposting on a mongolian hand painting forum i guess

yeah i hate that, pretty bad for my gains since i dont get quality sleep and am really tired at some times of the day

I like to smoke weed and wander aimlessly through my city, writing notes for articles I'll maybe write.

Leather work, cooking, reading, rope bondage, video games, consuming media, posting frog images on a Chinese comfort station forum, I drink so much it might as well be a hobbie. Women find me well rounded?

BJJ, mountain biking, lifting, gaming, playing guitar and shit posting on a Pennsylvanian gothic antiques and vintage curiosities auction site
