Hypertrophy = volume at a minimum intensity (work in a set time). Higher reps lets you get in more volume but lowers intensity. As a noob you will see similar results whether you did 5 or 15 reps as your limited by recovery rate, but 5 will make you stronger. Over 15 will benefit the cardiovascular system more than muscle tissue. Just read some scientific papers instead of trusting random dudes.

At 6'2 and 150 lbs you can literally go to the gym and do what ever the fuck you want as long as youre using progressive overload. You won't make any progress though if you're not eating. You need to be eating a fuck ton of food. I'm also 6'2 and was 150lbs around 19 years old. The hardest part for you is going to be eating enough food
