It feels so good to be able to think "I want to run to the gym" then be able to without being a wheezing breathless sack after 5 minutes.

I've enjoyed the practical benefits of jogging every 2 days far more than muscle gains in my 6 months of lifting.

Just do the Veeky Forums couch to 5k programme for easy stamina gains.

Tbh lifting and cardio are intertwined, if you're neglecting either then you're kind of retarded. Being strong and lean is great but you need cardiovascular health too.

Lower resting heart rate means your heart is more efficient at pumping blood, it is pretty much universally accepted that is a huge help against heart disease and such.

Swimming
Cycling
Running (unless it's HIIT then maybe I would put this over cycling but with the exploding knees)

jogging isn't all that great bud. As someone who used to do fight sports and other altheltic shit, jogging is like the weakest form of cardio you can imagine. HIIT workouts do more for your heart and lungs.
