When I first started I used to stand on my toes when I squatted. I'd also bench press over my face.

I used a smith machine.

I drank water in between sets

Started out doing arms 3x a week and chest 3x a week. One rest day. Ate like shit. Minimal gains.

Seriously, I want to change my life for the better because I play WoW for hours on end and don't have a job for the summer but I blindly signed up for PF knowing nothing about cardio or lifting or dieting.

thats not a mistake.thats a step for the better if anything.You can train your body effectively in planet fitness.you just have to be smart and use dumbbells.

i didn't stretch so when i squatted i'd always have butt wink. it left me with pretty bad back pain after every set until i fixed it.

I spent almost 2 months working out with a personal trainer that overtrained me each time in a gym that has almost no free weights.

Also almost messed up my back by pulling a muscle while deadlifting due to shit form.

What's your split? PPL or something where you work same muscles 2x a week?

SL 5x5 same lifts every 4 days except for squatting every 2 days.

I used to ohp in the squat rack also did weighted dips

Didn't understand how figure eight straps worked for at least 2 or 3 months. Would put the bar through one of the loops and my arm through one of the other loops up my forearm.

Unfortunately this worked pretty well and I continued the habit for a while probably til I saw someone doing it the correct way...

If you drink too much you can puke. A little is fine. The best thing to do if you feel dehydrated is to sip a little and swish it in your mouth. It's what martial artists due durring fights.

You have to hydrate yourself throughout the day. Only take little sips to get rid of the dry feeling and then continue hydrating yourself properly after workout.
