Sup fitizens, thinking of finally biting the bullet and going to the gym but nervous as fuck. I'm afraid i'm going to spill mt spaghetti so have you guys got some tips? Yeah I know people will say go when it quiet but I think that could be worse as the people that work there will notice me more.

everyone thinks the same thing when they first join

just dont take a shit on the floor or start doing barbell flies and you'll be fine breh

if you're really worried wear headphones and a hoodie, most people dont bother guys wearing headphones

Dont go its over

literally nobody gives a shit about you

OP here fogot to mention that i'm pretty much holocaust mode so worried I will get made fun of.

Hi.
First few times go when crowd is less.
Just go in, do your workout.
Be polite, don't create arguments, you're new, they're not. Feel out the ecosystem for a couple of weeks.
Get to know the staff, ask their names when you meet them.
Two weeks later it's now your gym, you can now escalate your influence and be more aggressive.

Don't fret OP. I thought the same thing when I started but nobody gives a shit there, aside from a possible "good onya m8" thought.

One more comment.
Don't just talk to girls. If you want to socialise, talk to everyone, guys and girls.

Im in the same boat OP.
Mostly I'm afraid of making fool of myself because I don't know where to start when I get there. I have never used a treadmill or any of that stuff so Im worried I will make a fool of myself trying to use them. And what am I supposed to do in between my breaks, what if the machine I need is being used etc. Shit is scary af when you start thinking about it, I'm considering taking drugs like MDMA to not be worried much, is it a good idea?

Just go already, I felt the same and was also skinny as fuck, weak on everything, embarrassed, but you go every day, you get stronger, now I feel really comfortable at the gym, I love being there.
Nobody gives a fuck that you're weak or out of shape, they likely see beginners every day. Just start by going, even if you only do a couple things, just be there every day and I promise in a week you'll be comfortable.

>people that work there will notice me
no one is gonna notice you - you're not even big enough to see

So much this

Just did the same recently. Just go in with headphones and do cardio everyday. Get comfortable with the place and observe how people are training without staring. You'll start to see the same people and nervousness goes away. Feels like a second home now.

Seems like a good idea on molly. Please tape it

I have never said more than "are you using this" to anyone at the gym, and that really only happens once a week or so

Never going to make it

just go within a week youll calm down, lift late too, ive never had to wait for equipment after 10pm

Lololooolioo shitpost

jesus, I remember my first time going into gym

they gave me a full body inspection to make sure i was healthy enough to use the equipment, penis included

and then I fell over really buff guy and he yelled at me and all the hot cardio bunnys started laughing so I set the place on fire

crazy times

lol almost everyone at a commercial gym is weaker than someone whose been doing SS for 6 months, it really doesn't matter

The only time you bring attention to yourself is if you lift some big boy weight with cheating form otherwise nobody gives a fuck about you

You're lucky man I bumped into really buff guy called big p he told me no problems and when I releaxed he raped my ass

>machine I need
Do some research before you go. Figure out what exercises you're doing and have some sort of routine planned. It will help keep you focused on what's important , the exercises. Not what anyone else thinks.
Hint: You don't "need" any machines

Fuck I remember penis inspection day, shit's insane. All the gym managers were there for my physical to make sure I was legally able to use the facilities, I felt so uncomfortable

kek, I bumped into a buff guy and he raped me in the showers and now we're dating ;)
no homo

ok heres the deal OP dnt be a faggot and walk around doing everything wrong. You pay for the gym so you are also paying for advice from the people who work there so ask them to help and learn what to do first hand, Find a routine and get them to teach you each excerise and how to perform it correctly. /thread

Op, just go to the gym. Start with compound movements. Watch some vids so you don't snap your fucking shit up. Everybody was new at some point. Don't be an asshole, and be open to advice. We're all gonna make it brahs

I'm in the same boat as this guy
I have no idea how to use shit, I might just watch YouTube videos on it for a 3 months so I know everything and I'll still be paranoid for the first few days

I was doing cable rows next to the pull-up bare, two fattie newbs came in with a printed off program, program said three sets of 15 pull-ups. They spend like 15 min trying to do them, never did one rep. So ya it's possible to embarrass yourself you just gotta know your own weakness

Don't waste 3 months watching vidoes. You need some practical experience. Spend a weekend watching vids. Don't ego lift, you're weak so going heavy with shit form won't impress anyone. Everybody was new at some point. And just like op, you're gonna make it bro.

i remember when i was too scared to enter the weight room of my comercial gym. but at one point i just decided to go and after a few weeks i realized that most of those people are weak skeletons

I joined a gym when i was 16. First thing i did was jump on the lat pull down and the gym at reception comes over and asks if i know what I'm doing. I had no idea and i asked him to show me and he said some bs like i haven't got time. I didn't go back and didn't train again until i was 18.
Some people are just jerks so you will get it no matter what.
Watch some YouTube videos of what to do and how to do it. Have a plan of exactly what you are going to do and a few extra incase someone is using the equipment.
I've been going to the gym now for 15 years and if anyone wanted help i would gladly do that for them.
