I want to be physically capable in a fight. Bitches and personal asthetics are not my concern, I want to have high stamina, strength, and durability. Start low and increase your weight with each set.
With curls just grab some dumbells and curl. I do 3x10 usually. Pretty simple

you're new to it, so you can literally do anything and progress. if you want to lift for 6 hours a day 7 times a week, then go ahead. it will work because you are new and have no muscle. As you progress in lifting though, you will have to begin to incorporate rests of some sort
