Is the 1RM calculation of candito's 6 week (x1,03 if 2 reps, x1,06 if 3 reps, x1,09 if 4 reps) too conservative to calculate your next cycle?

My accessories have their own 1RM and percentages. It's like 85% of my regular DL, which is probably fairly outdated by now.

But you, pretty much by definition, can't do 90%x4x4. Typically, 5RM will be around 85%, 3RM around 90%. Now obviously that's an extremely rough estimate and everyone is different etc. But even IF you can do 90&x4 at all (and that's a big if), you're doing that for 4 sets? Something doesn't add up.

But how does that change anything? Say you DL 200kg. You say your def dl is 85% of that, so 170. Your def dl 3RM would be around 90% of that, 153, yet in this thought experiment you would be doing that for 4x4?

It's possible I completely misunderstand, do correct me.
