everything becomes easier

Establishing a strong intimidating stance within society has its benefits

aesthetics

There is none. Our lives are meaningless. Do whatever you want with yours.

ur a beta fag lmao

So I can look good for myself and my gf

you will look and feel good and might get pussy easier. if thats all you need to know idk wtf you wanna do.

girls don't give a fuck about muscles lmao

If you have more muscle than someone else that means you are a better human being than them.

>literal faggot if you believe this

only till a cerain degree

I had a back pain and lifting fixed it, I also feel better, sleep better and my overall life qulity has improved. But tha's because i didn't have any other physical activity before, I imagine doing some sport would have similar effects.

This

To get girls

It actually is, to a certain limited extent.

- it will improve your self-image
- it will improve your posture
- it will improve your looks
- it will improve your health (assuming you do some cardio)

which will in turn lead to

- you being more attractive (esp. having good posture is more important here than most people realize)
- you will be more respected
- people will be friendlier to you
- people will think of you as more disciplined and trustworthy
- people will think of you as more intimidating and assertive
- you will live longer (probably)
- you will feel better about yourself

which in turn gives you various advantages in society. As with everything, there's diminishing returns and maybe even a "you went too far".

Looking good, you're stronger which means many manual labour tasks become easier, your metabolism increases so you can eat more and that means you can also eat more unhealthy crap that you like. That's all the objective advantages. Now to subjective stuff, that vary widely for many people. People start to respect you more because of your stature. Women think you are more attractive then you were before (unless you overdo it and end up looking like a cow on 2 legs).

The only disadvantages that come to mind are jelousy from other men, having to look at what you eat instead of just shoveling any shit you want and having to work out. If you're buff and handsome, people might think you're dumb too.

posting topless pics on tinder and getting laid

The better I look, the better im received by humans, the more confident I can be, the more successful I am in all areas in life.

You will never ever see an ugly businessman or lawyer, unless they're starting to get older and don't give a shit anymore.

I'm assuming you're talking about muscle gains through strength training and proper diet without drugs, i.e. not bodybuilding.

>reduced cancer risk
I don't remember the exact reason, but it's something along the lines of "more muscle mass and less fat makes it harder for tumors to grow"

>harder to kill
More muscle mass allows you to absorb more force.

>less likely to get injured
Muscle mass protects your inner organs and bones. see above.
Better posture, ...

>better aesthetics and social life
If you're strong, i.e. look muscular, you will be taken more seriously, have respect etc.

This is of course for gains within the natty limit, with a healthy sustainable bodyfat% and balanced training.

You'll feel better, healthier, more energy and more happy.
It gives real satisfaction having some decent muscle mass. You'll feel more confident and that translates to getting girls easier.

It's a life improvement in every single way. The only thing that differs is why you start lifting, but we all get the same benefits.

It literally makes you a better person. Would you rather be you who doesn't lift or you who does lift?

It's makes you a boring fuck who autisticly spouts about macros and gets fat from bulking.
t.exlifter

Man was made to use his body, expend energy and replenish.

In this modern world, where moving your body is no longer crucial for survival, exercise becomes increasingly important.

Man with no muscle is no man, just a shadow of what he should have been.

>what is the actual point of gaining muscle mass?

Mass is merely a byproduct of strength gains. The virtue of mass is that strength comes with mass.

vagina

strength

You gotta be ruthless to reach the top. Having muscles can only bolster that ascent you loser

To look better and be stronger

ur a beta fag lmao

Women or men if you're gay. That's the only reason. Anyone saying anything else is either lying, delusional, or stupid.

No one is intimidated by you in a country where you can carry a deadly weapon if you want to.
No one thinks you're a better person because you have big muscles; they just think you spent a lot of time in the gym or money on roids.
No one thinks anything else about you except that you might be more attractive depending on your face.

Even people who say they do it as a "hobby" are doing it for women.

It's too vague to ask "What is the point of gaining muscle mass?" since you're presupposing there is a singular reason to do so.

It's like asking "What is the meaning of life?" when the question should be "What gives your life meaning?"

Your life and the activities you pursue within it essentially have whatever meaning you and the people you identify with assign to them. You should be aware that outsiders assign their own meanings to them and may even misinterpret what you're doing completely, but that shouldn't ultimately be the defining factor in whether or not it's worth pursuing a more muscular body (or any other goal).

This essay is worth reading if you have time. It's really thought provoking stuff.

"Our implicit assumption is that our own worlds have objective/universal significance which is not dependent on how other people view it. That is, we assume or believe that the significance of the world we choose to live in is absolute, not relative. This is why we are dumbfounded when we see others living in different worlds who seem to struggle for no good reason. Our immediate question is: Why don’t they just leave? That is, we implicitly ask why they don’t come to our own world where the true meaning is. The Woman in the Dunes demonstrates that there is no such transcendent world. Our choices are ultimately arbitrary; one is not superior to the others."

"We generate meaning out of pursuing hardship for its own sake. That is, pick anything hard to do, and find others who are willing to endure that hardship, you will create a meaning in life."

"There is no use thinking about our lives as a trap no matter how miserable we may feel from it. The moment we escape our trap, our existence loses its meaning."

TL;DR: It's good to struggle. Whether you choose to struggle in pursuit of a muscular body or not is kind of besides the point.

Strength

Body mass making you heavy which isn't fat

Supports bones and joints better

Reduces risk of injury

i unno bruh bein fit is an advantage in social situations, in athletics, in daily energy, mental clarity, sexual function, sexual desirability, employment, etc.

there's a few take your pick.

ur a beta fag lmao

>Looks good
>Feels good
>Injury prevention
>Functional strength
>Fight better
>Fun
>Ur a beta fag lmao

ur a beta fag lmao

lol sure they dont
I get random massages almost everyday at my bar and they get all flirty, thanks fit. keep telling urself muscles don't matter, girls are all the same, vain as fuck, just like me

>allows you to absorb more force
it's something else too - I remember hearing that more muscle helps survival from trauma (like being shot, stabbed etc.).

I haven't seen it here, but when i lift I feel power, after my workouts I feel like I can actually do something with my life. I'm 25 and most of my life wasted it on video games etc. I don't lift for girls or even imagine what kind of girls I can pull, I feel empowered.

Self-confidence and respect from others.

It's also easier to nail sluts

I am 21 so I want to look and feel fit.

I do cardio and calisthenics, looking good is a plus of coarse.

people are nicer to you i think.
>have not experienced this myself due to ack of muscle

to be stronger, look better, live longer, and feel better.

There are health advantages to it - hormones are the most obvious one but there are many others.

Becoming stronger, more attractive, more intimidating, etc.

Respect from males and lust from women. It's the best investment a man can make. The prime purpose of an alpha male is to knock up babes nonstop.

This.

Getting pussy

I am a recovering robot and about to go for my first gym session today

Wish me luck

Literally everything you do is "for women".

One might try to convince himself that there are other reasons, but they generally boil down back to attracting women.

>health
The only reason to be healthy is to signal to women that your seed is healthy and will produce healthy offspring
>strength/resilience
The only reason to be strong is to signal to women that you are able to defend them and the kids.

Everything productive comes down to these two things

^

ur a beta fag lmao

makes other men fear/respect you. Women like you (especially older ones, they shamelessly objectify you). You feel good, gives confidence, you look better, you will probably feel and look better when older, if you do it correctly you will live longer and be stronger when older. Burn more calories, if you're a programmer like me it counteracts sitting all day.

that may be true for insects, not humans tho

That was interesting, thanks familia.

What does not come back to this?

Of course, things like drugs, pornography, video games, ... Are basically replacements for women and family.

But everything else (i.e. productive activities) all end up in the same place.

>first attract a woman
>then provide for your family

Studying, working, getting a good job, earning money.
>signal to women that you can provide
>provide a good life for your family

Working out, taking care of your health
>signal to women that you will have healthy children
>provide for your family in an effective way and do so for a long time

Researching, building, inventing stuff
>make providing for your family easier and more effective

Can you name me a more or less productive activity that does not boil down to attracting women and providing for your family?

Some of the things you do are attractive to a potential mate, some things aren't.

That's not the main reason most people do things though.

> There is no use thinking about our lives as a trap no matter how miserable we may feel from it.

Hey Trappy get in here

what if im full homo and only like full homo non reproductive sex
> your move, atheists

Gotta agree with this. Most things in life can be boiled down to the fact that achieving X will help you produce offspring and or significantly improves the chance that your offspring will reach sexual maturity so they can find a mate. Obviously there are going to be instances of behaviour against this but overall you can see that humansmprobably wouldn't be such a successful species.

>being gay and sucking dicks
you do it for women, so you can signal them where the seed comes from

You might not realize it consciously, but on an instinctive level, it comes back down to what I said, no question.

fags and other mentally ill creatures need not apply.
Why they choose to end up that way is a whole different discussion.
But in the end it's still "muh dick", i.e. wanting to dump your seed into something.

> You might not realize it consciously, but on an instinctive level, it comes back down to what I said, no question.

Nah, I'm pretty we're more selfish than that; the main reason for the things we do is to feel good, otherwise we wouldn't do them.

People that don't feel good doing nice things for other people just don't do them, see: sociopaths, psychopaths, etc.

You're welcome, m80.
