Is it bad if I can't unrack the bar without a liftoff?

I think it is mostly due to my bench position, part due to tendinitis.

There will never be a day in your life where you need to un rack it yourself. Unless your gym is ever empty? They do it at meets so don't worry.

Regarding the unrack: How much force do you need to apply to it as the bencher when you are in comp--does the spotter basically deadlift it out?

I was just thinking about this yesterday but I'm not sure how much force I am applying to unrack it. I push it up and do think about pulling the bar toward me with the lats, but my contribution is definitely not as large as my spotter's i think.

its actually getting about 1000x better since I have started to get liftoffs tbqh.

I have just been doing a lot of light wrist / forearm stuff, wrapping it in voodoo floss, etc., and it is manageable now (knock on wood).

Considering trying out the jap unrack but the arch / setup I have now is quite comfy for me.

tendinitis is elbow tendinitis; happens with tricep involving exercises and feels better (usually) with bicep stuff.

it's been here for about a month or so but I'm able to control it better now (knock on wood)

openers would be: 245-160-260
My targets are: 270-175-290, that would put me at around 460 wilks
It's really minor, I could lift through it anyway, just not at my 100%

I can't do them anymore because my bench works them enough,

Try lying Tricep extensions. Worked well for me when I did do triceps.

To be honest if he had competed back then and not gotten caught, he would definitely be getting caught in the retests they're doing now.

I always liked Akkaev, strong as fuck and not as much of an attention whore as Klokov (same reason why I think positively of Bedzhanyan). Too bad Akkaev's forward hop on his snatch and clean fucked his lower back.

Ilyin is on another level though. There's also another strong as hell Kazakh 105er (Zaichikov) and also 2 94'ers (gold&silver at worlds in 2014 or 2015 can't remember) whose names I forgot of which at least one was still young and growing. Kazakhstan is gonna dominate the 105s. Russia only has older retired guys (Klokov, Berestov, Polovnikov), Bedzhanyan who has always been inconsistent, and 1 promising younger lifter but he has only c&j'ed somewhere around 225-230kgs.
