1 plate = 1 plate on the left, 1 plate on the left mounted on a olympic bar
2 plate = 2 plates on the left, 2 plates on the ... etc etc

So what weight are these plates of which you speak? 45lbs? Just trying to meme my lifts to compare to others more readily.

when people say plate, they mean a 45 pound one unless they specify otherwise.

The largest standard size plate. 45lbs if Amerifat, 20kg if Europoor. Yes this means that Europoors lift slightly less per "plate". They do make heavier plates (55lbs, 25kg), but most people don't use them unless they're literally in a competition, so they still count per 45lb/20kg plate.

1plate = 135lbs or 60kg
2plate = 225lbs or 100kg
3plate = 315lbs or 140kg
