So I know I need to intake 2200 calories a day to lose weight.
Is there anything wrong with fluctuations in that?
Due to work I might find myself taking in 1500-1800 instead. I don't exactly want to just gorge myself before bed or something.

If you're trying to lose weight, eating less is usually a good thing. You're fine.

I just worry about muscle loss. I keep a high protein, low carb, moderate fat diet. It's been working well for me but ever since getting my new job and throwing off my daily intake routine it's had me concerned.

1500 is a good target. If you only eat 1500 then you're doing fine.

No, but I work out at least 5 days a week, am moving on my feet all day at work, and still practice BJJ at least 3 times a week.
I don't often have rest days.

I mean, even basing -500 off my TDE at moderate wouldn't put me at 2200. I'm just low balling it.

I'm 5'8/24/M/Deskjob and I lost 42lbs last year on 1500 with a 4 x 5k run per week.

I know that the 'recommended daily intake' is 2500 but I've found my base rate is 1600 and even with 1 hour of lifting and rowing I'd be lucky to need 1800.

There's this thing called lifting and cardio as well as having a lot more lean mass than the average person.

I'm a Manlet and cut on 2.2-2.5k and get down to 160s with shredded abs.
