just wear whatever makes u comfy. i cant imagine squatting without my belt and adipowers and i couldnt give a shit about what anyone thinks about the reasons why i use them.

A belt makes it easier to contract your abs because they have something to flex against which in-turn increases intra-abdominal pressure. This allows you to be tighter and more stable thus able to lift more. Knee sleeves help to increase blood flow and provide compression which helps with recovery.

They are sports equipment that allow you to lift more weight, and potentially reduce risk of injury.

Also they keep your knees warm, which is a godsend if you're training in cold weather and have cranky joints.

I never did desu, I replaced "chest muscles" with DB bench press, did what the program said, usually 5x10x relatively light weights for me

PWOs are pretty nice. I like taking PWO but only when I'm going to PR, which is Friday on ID.

I don't want to become reliant on it every single time I workout so I limit it for when I need it most. It definetly helps hype you up.

My only goal in strength training is to be able to OHP an average (not american) woman. What's a good program to follow to make your OHP shoot up?

I can OHP 1pl8 and some change, which is what most women weigh, but I'm guessing it's a lot harder to OHP them even if they weigh the same

Given an average (not american) woman weighs about 55-65kgs. I'd guess you'd be looking to OHP at least 1.5pl8 (80 kgs~180lbs).

I've been doing Candito's 6 week strength program with OHP instead of bench. OHP went from 70kg - 85kgs in 2 cycles.

It seems for me I progress faster on OHP with a lot of volume so I'm going to try greg nuckol's bulgarian method with OHP and squat. So I'll be hitting a heavy single of OHP everyday.

How do I break through a psychological plateau? I've made 4 attempts at 315 in the past three weeks, and I fuck it up every time. I can do 5 reps of 122.5kg, which according to strength standards is equal to a 1RM of more than 3 plates, and I can ease up to the heaviest possible lift before 3 plate (i.e., 130, 135 and 137.5kg) for a single, but every time I load up three plates I fuck it up. I'm sure I'm physically strong enough to do it, but I'm just not able to, what do?

Work up to it. When my bench was calculated at 107.5kg I tried it pretty much instantly and failed, but I hadn't ever had more than 85kg on the bar.

So I worked up by 5kg increments and hit it the next session.
