Is lifting/bodybuilding ok for health long term?

I love lifting and shit but I don't want to die when I'm 55 cause my heart can't sustain juicy amounts of muscle mass.

HIIT is pretty fun, because it's hard and you are motivated to get better at it. Also, it's short.

anaerobic training causes cardiac cell death. it only happens to a small degree every session, but builds up over a lifetime. this is why bbers alwasy die young.

Heart's giving out in people results from the heart having a greater resistance to push against over a prolonged period of time.

don't be fat
dont eat artery clogging shit every day
do some basic cardio
drink tea

do these things and you wont die of cardiovascular failure unless you're like 80+

You most likely won't be able to put up more than 90-95 kg worth of lean (read ~8% bf) mass natty, provided you are of average height i.e. ~6 feet.
Hell, even 90-95 is pretty damn generous -- you will probably peak at around 85, and this is considered a normal mass for people of that height.

HIIT is useless for athletes. the adaptaions you get from it arent worth anything, and it actually impairs sports specific skills. you know like if you're an actual competing athlete you actualy have to be good at your sport!!
