they're cheap and have good fiber. they're not super tasty though. rye flakes are way better, but are almost double the cost

oats are a very plain tasting source of some protein and good fiber

This is what I do. I cannot stand the taste of anything sweet in the morning, makes me gag. Besides I like plain oats, then again I like plain rye bread so maybe I just have autistic taste buds.

Literally 2 slices of pumpkin bread I have with my 5 eggs every morning have less calories and more protein. Yet fit hates bread.

If I wanted a quicker breakfast than poached eggs on toast I'd have 2 scoops of whey protein + yogurt. 350cal and 42g protein.

Join a gym. You'll be more motivated with other people around. I work a very physical job too but still manage to train for an hour 4 times a week. When I first started lifting for 2 weeks I got doms but now I very rarely notice any soreness at work.
